Alex's POV

"I'm going to be singing a song I wrote called Nightingale! Hope you like it!" I told the class. I was very nervous. Ok here goes nothing I thought while I started singing.

I can't sleep tonight 

Wide awake and so confused 

Everything's in line  

But I am bruised 

I need a voice to echo 

I need a light to take me home 

I kinda need a hero

As I finished my song. I opened my eyes and saw everybody with there eyes wide open and mouths open. Oh no I was bad. Oh gosh! Then all of a sudden they stood up and started clapping. Wow! Was I that good?  

"Alex! You are amazing!! Stay after class I need to ask you something!" Mr.Thomas said.  

"Um okay." I said. Im very shy and I'm pretty sure I was blushing hardcore.  

"That was amazing Alex!!" Ariana said as she gave me a big hug. The bell rang and its time for my last class: Dance! I absoulutly love dance! My schedule basically goes like this Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:

1st period: Vocals 

2nd period: Dance 

3rd period: Lunch 

4th period: Acting 

5th period: Free period 

6th period: Band (Guitar, Piano, Etc)

On Wednesday its different:

1st period:Vocals 

2nd period: Math 

3rd period: Lunch 

4th period: Acting 

5th period: History 

6th period: Science 

But then I remembered I had to stay after class. After everyone left Mr.Thomas turned around and began talking. 

"You have an amazing voice Alex." he began. 

"Have you ever considered auditioning for the X-Factor?" he asked. Oh no! I'm horrible with singing in front of people! Of course I know Uncle Simon but I haven't seen him in 3 years!  

"Uh- I uh- I dont know" I said. 

"Well you should. You're an amazing singer! I have a feeling your going to be big in the music industry one day!" he said. 

"Thanks but I'm not sure" I said. 

"Its ok! Think about it though! Auditions are in 3 months." he said. 

"Yeah sure I'll think about it. Uh can I get a pass to go to class?" I asked him. 

"Sure hold on......here you go" he said handeling me the tardy slip.  

"Thank you" I said as I left and went to dance.
