"I love you." She spoke softly into my ear before she ran off towards the other direction.
I felt my face flush with a bright red colour, much like that of a ripened tomato. Looking back at the direction she ran off too, I couldn't help but to remember those sweet words in my ear and the smile it brought to my face. I love you. Three words that echoed in my head over and over again, as if by magic they were stuck there for all eternity, forced to repeat in my head over and over again. But I didn't mind. Those are the words that I have been longing to hear in my life. Words that held a special meaning to my heart. Words that would never fade away until the end of time.
I smiled. Giving one last look to the direction she ran off to I started to walk the opposite way. With my hands in my pocket to keep them warm on that cold night, I walked back to my place with a light heart and butterflies in my stomach knowing that this was in fact one of the best days that I've had in my life.
