It's been a few weeks since Klei transfered to Yule High. I was now warming up to him and Anna as well. I could say that the two were good company. Anna's quirkiness and Klei's stubborn and pretty boy attitude were a good match.
"Good Morning Klei."
"Oh hey, good morning Giselle." He waved at me. "Anna's not with you?"
"No, she's sick so she had to miss school today."
"Ohhh so she does get sick." He teased.
"You're mean." I playfully punched his shoulder.
"Ow. Well I hope she gets better soon." He smiled while rubbing his shoulder. "How about I stop by later to see how she's doing?"
"That would be nice. Thanks for that."
We both went to our classes, oddly enough we had the exact same schedules so we ended up getting seen together. We often got mistaken as a couple already, not that he mind. But I was a little more touchy on the subject.
"Hey Klei."
"Hmm?"
"I was thinking if you want to hang out later."
"Oh. This is rare." He smiled. "Where to?"
"The beach."
"Alright. I have nothing to do anyway."
"Okay." A faint giggle escaped my mouth.
School seemed to fly by quick. It seemed like almost this morning I had just asked Klei to hang out with me and now classes are almost done and well my much awaited 'date' with him is but a few minutes away. Just as I was thinking it the school bell rang. Rrriiiinnnnggggg.
As usual students continued to buzz out of their classrooms and into the hallways. Some were still hanging out in either the cafeteria or the library. Others were still busy chatting and a few were actually leaving.
"Ready to go?" I picked up my backpack.
"Ready as I'll ever be." He smiled.
"Alright. Mind if you drive?"
"No, not at all."
I tossed him my car keys and we headed towards the school's parking lot to pick up my car.
"You should have this replaced soon." He told me.
"It still works. So why?"
"Well for one it's old."
"Nonsense. Just a new paint job will do the trick."
"Suite yourself." He chuckled. "To be fair it's still in good shape."
"Yep."
We both hopped in her black 1994 Dodge Ram and strapped ourselves in. He started the engine and in a few minutes we were off to the beach.
"So why the sudden invitation?" He took a quick glance at me.
"I just wanted to hang out, that's all." I looked out the window.
"Oh. So this is not a date then?"
"Wh-what?!" My cheeks flushed a bright pink colour.
"Did I hit the right button?" I heard him gove off a chuckle.
"Shut up." I turned my head towards the window in an attempt to hide my blushing face and tried to calm down a smile that was forming on my lips.
Soon after we finally reached the beach. Klei parked the car somewhere near and we both got out. He sat near the shore, removed his shoes and let his feet get wet from the soft waves that met with the shore. I just chose to keep my shoes on and sit beside him, preferring not to get myself wet.
