Beeeeeeeeppppppppp. 4:30 am. I got woken up by the irritating sound of my alarm as it went off to remind me that I have to go through today's hell. A heavy sigh left my mouth before getting up from bed.

I hate mornings. I thought to myself with a heavy heart. I hate waking up. Another thought crossed my mind. I hate everything. My thoughts continued on as I went downstairs, to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

"Oh, you're awake." Anna took a glance at me from the dining chair, already holding the newspaper.

"Hey."

"Your hair's a mess though." She giggled.

"It's always a mess." I shrugged her off.

"Aw come on. You're really pretty, more so if you had enough effort to look the part."

"Meh"

Anna was right though. I was not below average in the looks department. I had long, straight, chesnut coloured hair which reached down to my waist and refuses to stay in place when I go to bed, almond-shaped eyes that have long lashes that curl up, my skin isn't as white or pure as milk but fair enough to not be mistaken as a ghost. Though I'm a bit on the chubby size when it came to my weight. No supermodel body for me, but my height was above average that it didn't show my weight all that much so I still looked thin enough.

"So what's for breakfast?" Anna let out a yawn as she stretched, though with her white cotton crop top her belly button showed.

"Care for some pancakes?" I started to look around the kitchen.

"Pancakes sound heavenly." She let out a grin and one of those billion dollar smiles at me.

"Pancakes it is then."

As soon as I turned on the stove and started cooking Anna got up and went to lay on the couch, a few minutes later I heard snoring. Typical. I chuckled. She was never the kind to help out when it came to cooking, but she was the kind to fall asleep that quick.

As lazy as she may be Anna was certainly every boy's dream when it was outside our dorm. Straight A student, president of the student council, and captain of the cheerleading team. Soft, wavy, golden hair that looked like it was kissed by the morning sun and reached a few inches below her shoulders, porcelain skin that seemed to glitter and glow once light hits on it, doll blue eyes that popped without much effort, and beautiful thick lips. With an ample bosom and bum, she was in fact perfect in almost every way.

"Pancakes are ready." I sat them down on the table before going to the couch to wake Anna up. "Now hurry up and eat. I'll use the bathroom first."

"Mhmmmm. Five..ore...minut.." She mummbled

I heaved out yet another sigh. If anything she wasn't the kind that moved fast in the morning. Although she got up early whenever she goes back to sleep it would be twice as hard to wake her up.

"Come on now Anna. You need to get up. You wouldn't want to be late again."

"Mhmmm...fine" she rubbed her eyes like a little kid and slowly got up to the dining table to eat breakfast.

"Alright. Now I'm going to go ahead to the bathroom."

"Mmmm" she mumbled as she put a slice of pancake in her mouth.

"I swear, it's like I'm living with a 5 year-old." I sighed yet again but headed towards the bathroom.

Whenever I entered the bathroom it was as if I was going into another dimension. Like the whole outside world would be shut out and what's left was my thoughts alone. It was nice and peaceful. A place where I could let my thoughts ponder and go off. I took off my clothes and put them in the clothesbin, and as I did that, I saw something that made me wince. My scars. I've always hated them for they represented a bitter memory with each one. They were a constant reminder of me not being enough and being a failure. And yet, everyday, every single day, I see them and no matter what I do they won't go away. I sighed, for what I think was already the fourth one this day. Wow I'm setting a new record. I thought to myself and just brushed some of my bad thoughts aside and proceeded to the shower.
