Kyra's Pov

"Planning to hurt me again, hm? Why do you care so much about me, about all of this."
I ask, clearly annoyed.

Blake sighs, "Because..."

"Because I've liked you all this time Kyra. I've liked you since 7th grade. We're only in 9th now, but you were always so gorgeous and quirky and different as corny as it sounds. That's why I was hurt when u ended up with this guy." Blake rants, pointing to Weston.

Weston looks behind him acting confused. I giggled silently, nudging him to be serious.

"I'm sorry Blake. I just don't see you that way. I hope you can forgive me..But we should really go." I say, looking into his blue eyes. He looked actually sad. I turned around and walked off with Weston.

We walked the rest of the pier, trying to sustain from the awkwardness that just happened. When we walked to our car, Weston dropped me off at my house.

"Let me walk you in." He says, opening up his side of the door.

"Okay then gentleman." I laugh. We go up on my front door.

"I had a lot of fun, besides the whole blake incident. Thanks." I say, grinning.

"I-uh-i had fun too." He says, looking away and biting his lip. argg. hot. wait where's the top lip. (a/n oml I had to)

He leans in, are we doing this?  I lean in to. It couldn't hurt right?

And just when we were close, Abby opened the door.

"Uh. Do I need to leave you guys alone...or?" Abby asks, clearly weirded out.

"Oh uh no. He just-uh-dropped me-off..yeah." I say, clarifying that we weren't kissing.

"Okayy then." Abby laughs. I walk inside my house and wave to Weston goodbye.

"Girl that boy is a cutie." My sister says, I laugh nervously.

"So you guys aren't a thing?"

"Uh no. We're just friends" I say reassuringly. Right?

"Mhm. Shure little Sista."

//school//

I arrived school around 10 minutes early, hoping to have some time to talk to Weston. When I walked in, surprisingly not a lot of people were there. I did spot a striped shirt boy that was familiar. The other girls weren't here, so I thought it would've been fine to go up to him.

"Heyyyy Westonn." I say, grinning.

He was rummaging through his locker, looking for his textbook.

"Hello." He said, still going through his locker.

"Uh, are you looking for this?" I say, picking up the maths textbook that was on the floor.

"Ughhh. Why was that there?! Thanks Kyra." Weston says, frustrated. He picks up the math book and we were awkwardly close when he stood back up.

We both nervously laughed and stepped back slightly.

"So, how was your weekend?" I say, trying to stay away from the subject.

"It was nice, the pier was fun. We should do it again." He says, still feeling awkward.

And he looked straight into my eyes, and I lost it. He leaned in. Same situation as Saturday I'm assuming. Different outcome? Of course...

And I heard a scream behind me.

"Kyra! Where were u girl?"

Of course...not.

I turn around and see Audrey running towards me.

"Him again? Okay I have no time for explaining, come!" She says, grabbing my hand and practically dragging me away.

I turn around and mouth a "sorry" to Weston, and turn back around to Audrey, whose was just talking about Jacob.

"Hello??? Where u even listening?" Audrey said, waving a hand in my face. I was thinking about earlier and about Saturday.

What if we did kiss?

No. Snap out of it. "Yeah." I say, looking at Audrey
