Chapter 10: Stranger's Birthday

HAPPY (LATE) BIRTHDAY KIM TAEHYUNG! <3

"Good morning, Princess." Jin said while kissing my head, waking me up from my sweet slumber.

"Ah.. morning." I muttered while still in a dazzle. I took a pillow and covered my head with it, trying to continue my beauty sleep.

Yes, I slept at Jin's apartment last night because Jin said that it was already too late when I decided to go home. He said that it's too 'dangerous' for me to take a cab alone late at night.

"Wake up, princess!" he took the pillow from me and ruffled my hair. I was absolutely annoyed when he decided to yank the blanket from me and then walked to the window to open the curtains.

"Ya, it's so bright!" I yelled as I used my arm to block the sunlight. "Close itt.." I whined.

"One.." he counted down, targeting to tickle me.

"Two.."

"Thr--"

"--Okay I'm up!" I groaned while sitting up on the bed. "You're such a mom, Jin!"

He took the blanket on the bed and helped me to fold it. "It's for your own good too, Areum." he smiled while still making up the bed for me. I only shook my head and went to the bathroom to wash up.

After we were done, we both headed out to the kitchen for breakfast.

"Why do you cook so much in the mornings?" I asked him as he was placing food on my plate like usual. "And today the breakfast is Chinese-themed." I laughed when I saw a plate of Dim Sum, Crispy Noodle and Chinese Tea.

"It's for my lady, that's why." he scoffed.

Once he was done with my plate, I started to stuff my mouth with the food he made.

"Thish ish shoo good!" I exclaimed in a muffled tone. "Are you sure you didn't buy thish?"

"I'm super sure." he laughed. "Eat more!"

Then, my plate was overloaded again because Jin kept adding food on it.

"Ya, what if I gain weight?" I complained.

"You'll still be pretty," he eye-smiled me. "You know, in the end it's not beauty that matters, the one that matters when you grow older is your health. So eat up, okay?"

"Tch, arraseo," I replied as I kept stuffing food into my mouth.

We were taking another walk to help food digest in our stomachs. I actually didn't want to walk after eating because I was so full, but Jin was so hard-headed and he still begged me to come along with him, so I did.

Jin held my hand and we started to walk in a rather fast speed when suddenly, a guy about our age was shouting so loudly that everybody was staring at him.

"EVERYONE, TODAY'S MY BIRTHDAY!" he screamed.

He walked one by one to the people, asking presents from them. Sad thing was, nobody gave him any gifts but he kept on smiling.

That dude was really weird, like, who asks gifts from strangers?

We were about to walk away from that weird guy when we realized that he was getting nearer towards us.

But it was already too late.

"Hi, I'm Taehyung!" he greeted us, grinning happily. "It's my birthday today, do you have any gifts for me?"
