Chapter 19: Game

It was another day of work. The day was going fine as usual, but the cafe felt a little empty and the atmosphere was quite different.

"Hey Jimin, have you seen Seojun?" I asked, breaking the silence to Jimin who was arranging the plates at the counter.

"Now that you mentioned it, nope, I didn't see him anywhere. Where did he go?" he questioned me back.

"I don't know too. I think he's out of town." I shrugged my shoulders and resumed my work.

You see, my conversations with Jimin had always been like this. Whenever I ask him a question, he'll ask me back that in the end, I need to answer the questions myself. It's like talking to a mirror. How fun.

Honestly, I was quite worried now that he's not anywhere to be seen. The cafe felt so plain without him being here, just pointing that out.

I heard the bell ring and turned around to look at the entrance, seeing a mint-coloured hair guy. He had really pale skin, not to mention that he also looked tired. I've never seen him come here before.

He came to sit at a table in the corner, looking around the cafe and then taking out his phone. I approached him with a smile and showed him the menu.

"Good day, sir! May I take your or—"

"Have you seen Jimin?" he asked, cutting my sentences.

"U-um.. he's right ther—"

"Yoongi!" Jimin ran towards us and the mint-haired guy immediately stood up, pulling Jimin into a hug.

"Yoongi?" I muttered. He sounded familiar.

"Oh— yeah. Areum, this is my boyfriend, Yoongi. Yoongi, this is my friend, Areum." Jimin introduced the both of us while resting his arm around his boyfriend's waist.

Yoongi took out his hand and I awkwardly shook it. He shot me a gummy smile and honestly; it made me melt, but then again, he's gay.

I wasn't a homophobe but I was just not familiar with gay couples since I've never really met one before.

"Nice to meet you, Areum."

"You too, Yoongi."

The couple talked and talked, leaving me feeling spaced out. I quietly left them alone, continuing what I was supposed to do and I worked, till the sun down.

"How was your day, princess?" Jin asked when he picked me up from work. Not with a car, of course. We just walked together.

"It was fine. Jimin introduced me to his boyfriend today." I looked at Jin who froze at my words.

"Jimin has a boyfriend?" he asked me with round eyes as we were crossing the road. "He's...."

"Yeah. Surprising, isn't it? His boyfriend's name is Yoongi. He's quite cute." I said.

"Yoongi?"

"Yeah."

"I've heard that name somewhere."

The conversation died, and we continued walking together to my apartment. We were just halfway through when the night weather was suddenly so chilly.
