Chapter 27- Struggle

  So, I walked back inside to see Tommy sitting on the couch.
Jessie-Hey, I need to go.
Tommy-All right. I will call you later.
Jessie-Now that we're single, it shouldn't matter.
Tommy-Yeah. It won't.
Tommy left and I slowly got all of my things and left. Then, I went to the store. Here's the weird part though, I could've sworn I saw Taylor, Kassy, Madison, and Chachi and The ICONic Boyz and I.aM.mE.
Madison-Jessie?
Jessie-Madison! '
I ran up and gave all of them the biggest hug that I could.
Vinny-Where's Chris?
Jessie-I could care less.
Madison-Wow. I thought you two were dating.
Jessie-Nope. Done.
Olivia-Hey, we should totally have like a get-together. With us and Sam, Nikki, and Chris too.
Jessie-Sounds good to me. I'll let the girls know. But, one of you call Chris. When are we doing this?
Nick-How about tonight.
Jessie-We can go to my place and do movie night.
Madison-It sounds good to me. (smiles)
Chachi-You call Chris. Now. With. Us. Here.
Jessie-Fine.
Calling: Chris
Jessie-Hey.
Chris-Hey what's up?
Jessie-Be at my house at eight.
Chris-Why?
Jessie-Movie night. Bye.
Chris-I'll be there- wait, since when were you nice to me?
Jessie-I'm not. Chachi is. She made me call you. Bye.(hanging up)
Nick-What happened there?
Jessie-Long, long story..which I don't have time for. You guys handle the movie, and I will get the food. Cool?
Chachi-Cool. I'll see you later girl.
Jessie-Bye.(walking away)

Chachi-Everything set?
Jessie-Yeah.
Madison-Fast 6 is in the DVD player.
Jessie-Awes-
(ding-dong)
Jessie-(opening the door) Chris.
Chris-Jessie.
Chachi-Come on in.
*Jessie's P.O.V*
I cannot believe I am doing this. He will never come close to me again..not now.
Madison-Jess, let's talk for a second.(pulling me over to a corner)
Jessie-What's up?
Madison-Are you okay?
Jessie-Yeah, I'm fine. Why do you ask.
Madison-Because I know you well enough to know that you just lied to me.(smiles)
Jessie-Chris. He just...ugh!
Madison-Don't worry about him. Look, you honestly don't even have to talk to him. Just sit next to me during the movie. Okay?
Jessie-Alright. See, and this is why I missed you.(hugging him)
Madison-Okay, now get off of me.(pushing me)
Chris-So, how is everybody?
Nikki- We're cool.
Jessie-(rolling her eyes) Can we just start the movie?
Chachi-Sure we can.
This is going to be the most awkward moment of my life.
Chris-So. What movie are we watching?
Jessie-Fast and Furious 6.
Chris-Can I talk to you?
Jessie-Let me think..no.

Madison- Dude. She said no. Stop asking.
Chris- Who do you think you are?
Madison-The man who actually cares about your ex girlf-
Jessie- Will the both of you just shut up?! Chris you have 2 minutes.
Chris- Okay. (grabs his crutches and comes into the hallway)
Jessie- What.
Chris- Look, I know I shouldn't have said what I said. I'm sorry.
Jessie- Ok. And? I hope you didn't want me to say oh, that's totally fine and kiss you. Newsflash: not gonna happen.
Chris- I know, and I said I was sorry. Look, Red.. I can't believe I'm saying this but I want-
Jessie-Time's up. Let's go watch the movie.
On the real, he still had a little bit of time. I just didn't care about what he wanted. Mainly, because he didn't care about what I wanted. Maybe it was rude but, whatever.
I sat on the couch next to Madison and Chachi, who made sure I was having a good time, but when I glanced over at Chris, he looked miserable. I could tell he was into the movie, but he just looked so lost in thought and unhappy. It was like my heart wanted to do something, but my mind said no way.

Incoming Call: Tommy
Chachi- Uh, oh boyfriend alert.
Madison-Huh?
Jessie- He's not my boyfriend(nudging Chachi) I'll be back.
Jessie - Hello?
Tommy- Hey, are you busy?
Jessie- No, I'm not. Just doing movie night with some friends. Why? Everything okay?
Tommy-Yeah. Just had a long day a work. I was just calling to talk. Go have fun with your friends.
Jessie-No, you're fine. I have time.. you wanna come over?
Tommy- Are they gonna be okay with it?
Jessie-Yeah, everyone but Chris. But I honestly could care less of what he thinks right now.
Tommy- Alright, I'll be over in like 15 minutes. Okay?
Jessie-Yeah. I'll see you then. Bye.
Tommy- Bye.

Chachi- What did he say?
Jessie- He said he wanted to come over and join us.
Chachi-You said yeah, right?
Jessie- Yes I did. He'll be over in like 15-20 minute.
Sami-What about Chris?
Nikki- Girl, she obviously doesn't care.
Jessie-Yeah, I don't. We are not together anymore. So..
Chachi-That makes room for Tommy to swoop in and steal your heart.
Jessie-No. We're just fri-
(Ding-Dong)
Jessie- Oh Lord, help me.
