Chapter 28 - Close Encounters

I just slowly walked to the door, to be honest I was kinda nervous about how Chris would react to all of this.
Jessie: (opening the door) Hey! Come on in. (smiling)
Tommy: Thanks for having me.(smiling) Um, I brought some wine.. (whispering) You sounded like you needed it.
Jessie: Oh.. thanks. I'm okay though, seriously.
Tommy: No.. you're not and that's perfectly fine, you know.
Jessie: Thanks, T. Let me introduce you to everybody.(walking over to everyone and pausing the movie) Hey everybody, this is my friend Tommy. Tommy, this is the group.
Everyone: Hey Tommy.
Tommy: Hi. It's nice to meet you all.
Chris: (mumbling) Whatever.
I turned back on the movie. I saw Chris mumbling and rolling his eyes. I don't underst-
Chris: Can I talk to you?
Jessie: Um.. no.
Chris: Jessie.
Jessie: You had your two minutes. What could you possibly want?
Chris: I'm trying to be polite.
Jessie: Sure you are. What?
Chris: (signalling her to the other side of the room)
Jessie: No. You can say it right here.
Chris: Fine. Why is he here? (pointing at Tommy)
Jessie: Because I invited him.. and this is my house. Remember?
Chris: You're probably screwing him anyways.
Jessie: No, I'm not like you. Look, cause an ounce of chaos, and you will have your happy a** out of here. Got it?
Chris: (rolling his eyes) Got it.
Jessie: Great! (walking into the kitchen with Tommy) Hey, I'm sor-
Tommy: No need to apologize. He has every right to be upset.
Jessie: How? Me and him weren't together when you came back around. (opening the wine bottle) Want some?
Tommy: Sure.
Jessie: He just pisses me off. It's almost like he doesn't have any type of decorum.(reaching for the wine glasses) Chris put them up here. I never put them on the top shelf.
Tommy:(laughing) You need some help?
Jessie: Yes, I do, and what's so funny?
Tommy:(reaching over Jessie and putting the glasses onto the counter and turning her to face him) Your so short.
Jessie: I know.
(on the other side of the room)
Madison: Who is that?
Chachi: One of Jessie's old high school friends.
Nikki: But they like each other.
Sami: A lot.
Madison: Oh.. I get it. So, have they like.. ya know.
Nikki: Of course not! They are literally just friends according to Jessie.
Sami: But how he has his hands around her hips says other wise.
(All 4 of them turning around)
Chachi: Man, I wish a man would look at me like that.
Nikki: Preach.
(They turn back around)
Madison: So, they really are into each other, huh?
Sami: (whispering to Madison) Yeah.. if she's not with him, I want you to be with her. I know you like her.
Madison: Thanks Sami.
Sami: Your not upset with her.. are you?
Madison: Of course not. Look, to be real, I just want her to be careful. I'm happy that she's happy though. Chris looks miserable though.
Chachi: Seriously though.
Jessie: So, (sipping her wine) what was this long day like?
Tommy: Just a lot of working. I even worked through lunch. (laughing) I guess I'm just tired, and a little nervous about that presentation tomorrow.
Jessie: Hey, you have no reason to worry. You'll do great. Don't stress. (holding his hand) I'm serious.
Tommy: I won't. I promise. (smiling)
I could feel Chris staring over here. I don't know why he was so bothered. HE CHEATED ON ME! At least I was faithful. But, I guess he'll be around though. I might as well just get used to it.
Tommy: You okay? You zoned out a little.
Jessie: I'm fine. Thanks. (smiling)
The movie had gone off and everyone was getting ready to leave. Overall, it was a great night. I am kind of happy Tommy came.
Tommy: Hey, I gotta go. I have that presentation in the morning.
Jessie: Let me know how it goes?
Tommy: Yeah! Definitely. (pecking her lips)
Jessie:(wide eyed and laughing)
Tommy: I'm sorry. (Laughing)
Jessie: Don't be. It was nice. Call me in the morning?
Tommy: Yeah. Bye, beautiful. (walking out and kissing her again)
Jessie:(pulling back) Bye.(closing the door)
Chachi: OH MY GOSH!
Nikki: Did he..
Sami: Awww!!! You guys are gonna be a super cute couple.
Madison: That was.. something. (laughing)
Chris: I'm so done with your bulls***. (walking out)
Madison: Didn't he cheat on you?
Jessie: That's what I thought.
Madison: I'll see you later, J. Love you!
Jessie: Love you! Text me when you get home.
Madison: Will do!
The girls were staying over, everyone else was gone... and they were just as shocked as I was. The first peck, even though it was short, was kinda sweet and passionate. But the second one was just..wow. I had butterflies in my stomach. It just felt right.
Sami: Thinking about that kiss?
Jessie: Oh, yeah. I was.
Nikki: I guess close encounters aren't bad things.. when it's like that. (laughing)
Jessie: Guess not.
Chachi: Do you two have couple potential?
Jessie: I think so. I hope so. Maybe close encounters aren't a problem.
