Chapter 2

I just arrived at school and I decided to wait for Niall to park next to me in his Audi. I decided this morning to wear Louis bracelet to school. Louis and I practically left our houses at the same time. He gave me a smile and said see you later before getting into his car this morning. I know he doesn't exactly like where he is in his life right now because he is confused but I'm hoping overtime he'll figure out the right thing to do. At least I would like him to not be pressured by Liam anymore.
"Hey, you waited for me." Niall just got out of his car.
"Yeah I wanted to ask you something." We started to walk towards the school.
"Sure, what is it?"
"Do you want to come over after school?" I asked.
"Yeah sure. Sounds grand." He smiled. He's such a positive person. I can't help but smile. Then all the sudden a girl slapped me.
"That's for hitting my boyfriend. Stay away you American freak." She bitched out on me. She started to walk away.
"You bitch! I swear to god I'll just-"
"Skye stop!" Niall held me back. She turned around and smiled, "She isn't worth it." Niall told me. I relaxed an he let go.
"I'm going home." I told him.
"What? No! You have school. You can't let someone get into your head. People like that aren't worth it to have attention. If you leave she'll know you're pissed and you'll be the laughing stock of the school."
"Then what do you want me to do?" We walked into the school.
"What I do." He grinned.
"What would that be?" I questioned.
"It's a saying; 'Smile, your enemies hate it.' and I still do it. Well unless I get a concussion like yesterday but otherwise I just smile. They get so confused."
"Does anyone do anything about violence at this school?" I asked as we arrived at our lockers.
"Not really unless they are already at the scene or extreme injury."
"Which would be what kind of injury?" I wondered.
"I don't know? Maybe a broken leg. Why are you asking?"
"No reason." I shrugged. Niall shut his locker.
"Skye, you aren't hitting anyone." He knew it. I closed my locker.
"I wasn't thinking that."
"Yes you were. If you hit someone then you'll be one of them and you're above that." He told me.
"Alright, yeah, whatever. But if they are hitting you and no one is doing anything then can I hit them?" I asked.
"Fine, only because I rather not die at school." He chuckled and so did I.
"I don't think anyone would want to die at school." We laughed more. I looked up, "Harry, how's it going?" I smiled at him.
"You are in a strangely grand mood. Niall, what did you do?" Harry asked as he stared at Niall.
"Nothing, I just got Skye to laugh." He chuckled.
"Harry don't worry." I smiled, "Plus, I rather die of laughter and not by something else so it's good to laugh." We all chuckled.
"What's up weirdos?" Liam came over with some guys including Louis. I just wish Louis would stand up to him. I looked at Louis then back at Liam.
I smiled, "Thanks Liam. Let's go guys." I said still smiling.
"Woah, wait up girl. Where do you think you're going with these weirdos?" Liam asked.
"Thanks for calling us weird Liam. I rather be called weird then normal." I smiled and looked at Louis. I saw just a slight smirk from him but then it disappeared.
"This bitch! Am I right Louis?" Liam looked at Louis.
"Yeah, she is definitely weird." He said.
"Ugh, c'mon." Liam, including Louis and the group, walked away.
"Shit, that was amazing." Harry said.
"Egh, like Niall said, you just gotta smile." I smiled at them and shrugged.
"Yeah, that's it." He smiled.
"So I have a question. Who's that bitch that slapped me this morning?" I asked.
"That was Sophia. Her and Liam are always on and off boyfriend and girlfriend. Right now they are back together." Niall told me.
"But probably within the next two days they'll break up again." Harry added.
"Also, who was part of Liam's pack? I know Louis, but who else?"
"David, Andy, and Jordon. That's who you will mainly see him with." Harry answered.
"Plus Louis of course." Niall added.
"Good to know. Well this is my class. I'll see you guys later."
"Yep, bye." Niall said.
"Bye." Harry did a small wave.
I walked in and sat in the second row, third seat. I hate sitting in the front. I always feel like the teacher is staring at you.
"Hey." I turned around and it was Louis. Liam and David were chuckling in the back row.
"What?" I raised an eyebrow.
"I'm supposed to make fun of you but I rather not. I do want to say thank you for that pointer last night with the math question. It helped me change two of my other questions. But I'm gonna leave. Drop your mouth a little bit right now so it seems like you are offended." I did what he said and I wanted to chuckle but I couldn't. He got up and walked back over. I looked down then turned back towards the front of the room. That was so sweet of him. That's how you know he's a friend. He didn't hurt my feelings. Instead he thanked me for a small thing.
