Chapter 23

I slept like a baby last night. When I did wake up though, Louis wasn't in the bed. There was a note. It said for me to meet him on the south side of the Eiffel Tower. I got dressed and headed to the Eiffel Tower. When I got there I looked around and there was no sign of Louis anywhere. I took my phone out and called him. He isn't answering. Now I'm worried. What if he was kidnapped? Oh my god! Now I'm freaking out. I need to find Louis. I turned around and then two guys stopped me.
"Skye?" One of them questioned. They don't look like a threat.
"Yeah?" I'm confused. One took his phone out.
"Stay here and relax." The other one said then music started to play. Ne-Yo's Let Me Love You is one of my favorite songs of his. I heard Louis singing.

Louis came from behind me with a microphone and a few people. Am I in a musical or something? He's doing a great job singing but he can't dance. I'm just laughing now.

Louis just finished up as he walked up to me. Once he got to me he gave me a kiss. I loved that.
"Surprise." He smiled as he looked at me.
"Was that supposed to be your part of the bet?" I wondered.
"Yeah why?"
"That was nice, simple and loving. You need to do something else."
"Did you at least like it?" He wondered.
"Yes I loved it." I smiled.
"So, how about we head back to the flat and I'll make some breakfast?" Louis gave me a kiss.
"Sounds great." I smiled.

We got back to the flat and I originally thought that Louis and I were gonna have sex but he is making breakfast, plus he also has clothes on. Who is he? I don't know who he is anymore.
"How about we eat on the terrace? It's nice out." Louis handed me a plate with food on it.
"Sure." We opened the Terrance doors and went out and sat down at a small table.
"So, have you thought about university?" Louis asked.
"Kind of. I want to be near you but I would like to go to the University of Amsterdam." I told him.
"Oh, why there?" He asked. I looked at Louis' chest and there was a red dot. Sniper.
"Louis get down!" I told him. I pushed the table away and gripped him and pulled him to the ground. I heard a shot.
"Is that a sniper?!" Louis freaked out.
"Yes, now get inside!" I yelled at him. We crawled inside, "Behind the bed." I told him as there were still shots. As soon as we got behind the bed I held onto the necklace that Grant gave me. Hopefully this still works.
"You're calling for Grant?!" Louis looked at me.
"We aren't going to make it out alive Louis if we don't get help." I told him and the shots stopped.
"They stopped." Louis started to pick his head up but I pulled him back down.
"They never stop." I told him and crawled over to my suitcase. I opened one of the small pouches. The loose tile in my bathroom that had the gun and stuff in it, I took it with me just incase. I made sure the gun was loaded. I tucked it into the back of my pants.
"Are you going to kill someone?" Louis stared at the gun.
"I don't plan on it. This is just incase." I told him, "Come on, we need to get out." I told him. We quickly went over towards the door. I looked through the peep hole and no one was there. I opened the door slowly, "Just stay behind me." I quietly told Louis.
"You're the one with training and the gun." He responded. We walked out and I peeped my head around the corner. No one.
"C'mon, hurry." I told him and we ran down the hallway.
"Stop!" I heard someone shout from behind us and Louis and I froze, "Turn." He told us and we turned around. There was a gun pointed at us.
"Why are you chasing me?" I asked.
"We just want to take you into questioning." He told me as he slowly walked closer.
"Then why are you trying to kill me and him?"
"We never thought that he would be with you all the time so it's the only way we can get your attention."
"Whose attention?" I asked.
"There are a lot of things you don't know. Like that your real parents Blue are dead, that Grant is your brother, and that you have no idea who your 'dad' really is."
"What do you mean who he really is?" I questioned. Wait, Grant is my brother?
"Come with me and no one gets hurt. I'll let you know on the ride." He came closer. I looked at Louis and I don't want him hurt. I know he doesn't want me to go. I don't want to have to do this.
"Fine." I looked down. I put both of my hands behind my back.
"Skye."
"Louis, we will be ok." I told him. I walked towards the guy as he lowered his gun and put it in the back of his pants. He turned around. I quickly pulled the gun out, cocked it, then shot his calf.
"Ah!" He screamed.
"Louis c'mon!" We both ran downstairs and out onto the street. We need a car. I looked around. I saw a Porshe. Perfect. I grabbed Louis and I pulled him with me over towards the car. Please be open, please be open. Yes! It's open. Louis got in on the passenger side as I went and hot wired the car.
"Since when can you hot wire a car?" Louis asked as the car started.
"When I see something I tend to learn it quickly. Like that drift awhile back. I learned it in one day. I watched a movie that pretty much showed you how to hot wire." I told him then drove off. My phone was ringing, "Louis, who is it?" I asked him and he grabbed my phone out of my pocket.
"Grant." He responded.
"Put him on speaker." I told Louis. The car that was coming towards me had a guy hanging out of the window with a gun pointed at us. I made a sharp turn.
"Blue, are you guys ok?" Grant asked on speaker.
"So far." I drifted onto another street as the car behind me shot, "Louis keep your head down." I told him.
"Are you driving? How'd you get a car?" Grant asked.
"I hot wired a car." I told Grant.
"You stole a car?!"
"More like borrowed so we can stay alive."
"Well you also shot that guy to keep us alive." Louis added.
"Blue you killed someone?!" Grant shouted.
"No, I shot him in the leg! I'm not a killer Grant."
"Good, now are you driving north?" He asked.
"Trying to. How do you shake off someone?" I asked.
"What car are you driving and what are they driving?" Grant asked.
"I'm in probably a 2012 Porshe. They are probably in a 2011 BMW." I told him.
"You are going to have to take real sharpe turns. You really have to press on the gas and use the speed of the car. Your car can drift better than theirs and you have more speed in yours."
"So just disappear?" I questioned as I made a sharpe turn.
"Kind of but you have to try to head north." Grant told me.
"Alright, I'll try it." A shot broke the back window, "Shit!" I shouted.
"C'mon Blue!" Grant shouted. I drifted onto another street. It was headed towards the expressway. I went northbound. I stepped hard on the gas and swerved around cars.
"Skye, speeding around cars won't lose them." Louis was right. I looked far ahead.
"Grant what do I do? I have an idea but it's very risky." I questioned.
"I'm not even near you yet. What's your risky idea?" Grant asked.
"Two lane grasshopper." I said. Louis still doesn't know what that is.
"Blue, you don't even know what is ahead."
"That's why I said it was risky." I responded, "But I have a chance coming up."
"I don't know if you are ready Blue."
"You have twenty seconds Grant before I chosen decision. Take it or not?!"
"What's a grasshopper?" Louis asked. I looked at him quickly.
"Do you know where to aim?" Grant asked.
"Yes." I told him.
"Alright, take it." Grant told me.

I shifted gears and stepped on the gas all the way. I aimed for a break in the trees. I sped up a jump off of the road and flew through the trees. There is a big intersection. We had a rough landing but I went east.
"Blue!" Grant shouted making sure I was ok.
"That was flipping amazing! How'd you do that?!" Louis laughed a bit.
"Yes Grant we are fine." I told him with a small smile.
"Good, I'll meet you in Amiens." Grant signed in relief.
"Ok." He ended the call.
"You have some serious driving skills. You should be in the Fast and Furious series." Louis chuckled and so did I.
"Won't happen but that would be cool." I looked at him and smiled. I looked back at the road then headed towards Amiens.

Louis and I have been on the side of a road with Grant. Once I saw Grant I gave him a hug obviously but what that guy said. Grant is technically my brother.
"Grant can I speak with you alone?" I asked.
"Not now. Let's go back and grab your things. I have to bring you guys back home. I told your dad that if something like this happens then I will take you home right away."
"Ok fine." I nodded.
