I've been at Uncle Chris' for two days already. I did get treated. I don't have any fractures or a concussion. Just some bruises and cuts. I believe that no matter how much I try having a normal life it isn't gonna happen till this is over. Besides from that and looking at small and simple things, my car is ruined and my phone barely works. It works enough to make and receive calls. But I need to talk to Uncle Chris about a few things.
"Hey Uncle Chris?" I knocked on his office door as I opened it.
"Yeah?" He wondered.
"Can I talk to you about a few things?" I asked.
"Come in." He told me. I walked in and sat down, "What is it?"
"I'll start off with the most simple question. Um, what am I gonna do with my car?" I wondered.
"Well yours is destroyed. I am in the process of getting you a new one. You should have it by tomorrow or the day after. I should also tell you it's black with some red. I couldn't get the white and blue. I'm sorry."
"It's ok, but thanks. Is that car going to have everything that my car did. As in the secret hatch and bulletproof stuff?"
"Yes, everything. Also, I couldn't get the driver's seat to be on the left so-"
"That's fine." I told him.
"Alright, was there anything else?"
"Yeah, I um, I have no idea what I want to do with my life. Like with my future."
"Well, what are you interested in? With your grades and everything I'm sure you'll be able to do anything."
"That's the problem. I have no idea. If anything, it's to play football but I know that isn't gonna happen because I stopped playing a little while ago and I don't think my dad would let me go back." I told him. He stayed quiet for a little while and just looked at me. He took off his glasses and set them on his desk.
"Skye, you are very talented, strong and intelligent. You are practically gifted. I'm not sure if you realized but you haven't been taking your medicine for a few days and you seem to be completely fine and-"
"I haven't taken it in like a month or something like that I just realized." I should've had a seizure by now.
"Skye, you are exactly like your mother and father. The ones that raised you but also the ones who are you and Grant's parents. Yes I knew them. What I'm getting to, and I should just say it, is after high school become a private agent like Grant. I'm not saying you have to go out into the field but to know everything. You almost already know it."
"No, I don't want to be in this life. I told you that."
"Alright but would you at least like to learn anything more?" He asked. He made me think.
"The only thing Grant or my dad would say that I should learn; to shoot a gun." I told him.
"Alright, I can do that. Do you want to start now or tomorrow?" That surprised me.
"Tomorrow, it's getting late." I told him.
"Ok." He nodded, "Is that it?"
"Yeah." It actually isn't. I have one more thing but I'm not gonna say it.The next day I woke up but just laid in bed for awhile. I miss everyone but I'm not ready to go back. By the time it hit eleven though, Uncle Chris got me out of bed and headed outside. There were a few guns lined up. Like there is like every gun. In the distance he has target signs on trees. The first gun he gave me a standard pistol.
"This is the first target you want to hit." He was at the closest tree and patted on the sign. He started to walked back over, "I can show you how I hold the gun but I know you kind of know how to use it. This is for accuracy though so I think-" Once he got over to me I cut him off as I took about six shots at the target. I got dead center every time. Concerns me but still. It also was with only my right hand. I took the gun with my left hand and shot about four and I got center each time. I put the gun down.
"Which gun next?" I asked him. He stood frozen for a second.
"You are exactly like your mother."
"Which one?" I asked.
"I guess I could say both really but I'm mainly talking about your birth mother." He looked at me.
"Alright, so which gun next? The Pindad or the KMZ?" I asked him.
"How do you know what type of guns they are?" He wondered.
"When I found out about, this. I wanted to know a few things so I did research and well I did a lot of it." I told him.
"Alright, but the Pindad. Same target but I want to show you how to hold it. So give me it." I picked up the gun and looked at him. I lifted it up, aimed, and fired at the target. I stopped after three seconds. I hit the bullseye again, and this is a semi-auto. I set the gun down. I then picked up the KMZ and did the same thing. Dead center again. I set the gun down. I looked at Uncle Chris.
"So, what next? A shotgun or a sniper rifle?"
"How did you-? It took me a few weeks to get a bullseye."
"It runs through my blood? I don't know? Grant said I'm like a copycat. If I've seen it done I can do it. That's how I learned how to drift so quickly. Grant showed me once and then I did it after he just showed me how to drift."
"You need to stop watching spy or action movies." He told me.
"But that's one of my favorite genres."
"I know." He laughed.
"So, the KSG?" I asked.
"You know how to shoot a shotgun?" He questioned me.
"I might. We'll find out now." I smiled and grabbed the gun.Uncle Chris really wanted me to make breakfast for dinner so I did. He's helping me out but he is also making me coffee right now. The doorbell rang. I looked at him. We've been on edge since my incident the other night so he grabbed a pistol from the drawer. I walked over to the door and looked into the peep hole. He looked at me and rolled his eyes. He put his gun in the back of his pants. He opened the door.
"Hey Grant." Chris said as Grant walked in.
"Grant!" I ran over to him and gave him a hug.
"Hey Blue." He said but not very enthusiastically.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Um, can we sit down? Chris, join us." Grant looked at both of us. He's probably just gonna ask if I can come back. But we all sat down.
"Grant, what is it?" Uncle Chris asked.
"For the past forty eight hours I have had no contact with Phil. We had contact from someone that works with Felix and, well, Phil was taken. So, I need some people, agents, to help me."
"I'm in. Anything for Phil." Chris said.
"What?" I can't exactly comprehend.
"Grant, why don't you just contact others in-"
"They're dead." Grant cut him off.
"Eight agents are dead from the UK." Chris was upset and shocked.
"Blue, I don't expect you to help but-"
"I'm in." I looked at both of them.
"Are you sure?" Grant questioned.
"He's my dad. I may not exactly be an agent but I know what the hell I'm doing."
"Skye, to be honest, we were putting you through the tests of becoming an agent." Chris told me.
"And you are one hell of a agent Blue. I know you want a normal life-"
"I don't know what I want in my life. I don't know what I want to do in my future. I don't even know where I'm going to go for university. Maybe if we finally get this figured out, I'll know." I told them.
"Alright." Grant looked at me worriedly.
"I'll gather information of what we have and we will head out tomorrow." Chris said.
"No, not tomorrow. I want to take you somewhere." Grant told Chris.
"Can Skye come?" Chris asked.
"No."
"Why not?" I wondered.
"You aren't ready." Grant looked at me.
"Just now you guys were saying that you've been training me and that I'm one hell of a agent. Now you say that I can't go off somewhere?"
"You aren't classed as an agent Blue!" Grant yelled at me. I walked up to him.
"You told me I'm ready." I looked at him disappointed. His stern face went away and I walked upstairs to the room I was staying in.
