Chapter 8

It's now Sunday and I decided to go over Niall's house to do homework because of two things. One, Louis has a away football match. Two, now that the sexual tension between Louis and I are getting stronger, we can't exactly focus on homework well. We tried yesterday. We maybe got halfway through our math homework. But Niall and I always stay focused until we are done. It's always quiet. We only speak if we have to ask for help on something. Which happens to be usually never. Harry was over earlier when we first started but he got a call that his sister was back in town and he needed to see her so he left. I believe Niall and I are almost done. We work at almost the same speed. I need to ask him something though. He's practically my best friend.
"Niall, I don't mean to bother you with a non school related question but I need to ask you it." I put my pen down.
"What is it?" He looked at me.
"Um, would you look at me differently if-"
"If you and Louis had sex. I knew you were going to ask that soon enough." He knew it somehow.
"Well, would you?" I questioned.
"First of all, it's your life, not mine. Second, you are one of my best friends. I know who you are and I definitely know that you won't turn into someone else. So no I won't look at you differently and I won't judge you guys. But I do need you to not tell me when it happens. I rather just figure it out at some point. I do respect you asking me though." Niall smiled.
"Ok and thanks." I smiled back.
"Oh and can I tell you something but you can't tell anyone?" He looked slightly nervous.
"Are you confused with your sexuality because I thought you liked girls?"
"What? No. I'm straight, I promise you that. But I needed to tell you that Liam accidentally kinda said he likes you to me."
"What?!" I'm in shock. Kind of disgusted too.
"Yeah, but you definitely can't tell Louis. He'll literally kill Liam and I don't want that to happen. If you realized, they are actually getting on better terms." Niall said.
"I'm obviously not going to tell Louis. That would kill him and then he would kill Liam. If I did, Louis will question me over and over if I like Liam back which I do not. I love Louis and he knows that. I wouldn't have said yes to this promise ring if I didn't love him." I pointed to the ring.
"When did he give you that?" Niall asked.
"On our date. I thought I told you."
"No you told me about the singing and the big speech but I don't think you mentioned the ring." He held my hand and looked at it.
"Why? Is it a bad thing?" I questioned.
"No, it's not. My parents they were high school lovers and after two months of dating my dad gave my mom a promise ring. They are still together after all those years." He told me.
"That's the same kind of story with my aunt and uncle." I responded.
"Maybe there is a thing with promise rings?" Niall shrugged.
"What about promise rings?" I swear Niall's parents had to be standing outside of the door for the past two minutes.
"Um, on my date with Louis last week, he gave me a promise ring." I showed them the ring. Mrs. Horan took my hand and looked at it closely.
"It is so similar to ours." She said. She pointed to her promise ring and then Mr. Horan pointed to his.
"How long have you and Louis been dating?" Mr. Horan asked.
"Over a month." I told them.
"Oh, just like us. This is adorable. Well, enjoy yourself. We'll leave you so you can finish your homework." Mrs. Horan smiled then walked out of the room with her husband.
"I swear they had to be right outside of the door for two minutes before they came in." Niall chuckled.
"That's what I was thinking." I laughed.

The next day at school I waited at my locker for Louis who had morning practice. Some guys walked past me and stared at me. Sophia hit one of them. I hate the attention but I love that she hates that I'm getting attention.
"Good morning baby." Louis came over and held me against the locker then gave me a kiss.
"There is way too much sexual tension between us." I chuckled and so did he.
"Mmm... we should figure this out soon." He smiled and gave me a kiss.
"Well, I might of raised the sexual desire a bit more today for you." I smirked.
"How's that?" He gave me another kiss. I leaned over to his ear.
"I'm not wearing any underwear." I told him then kissed him softly on the neck. He looked at me.
"Are you trying to give me a boner at school?" He whispered with a smile and I giggled.
"It would be funny."
"Hush." He gave me another kiss, "So no underwear huh?" He smiled.
"Nope." I grinned. He grabbed my ass cheek and squeezed it.
"How does that feel?" He whispered.
I giggled, "Lou, we are at school, not in the bedroom." I gave him a kiss then took his hand. I turned the corner and bumped into someone.
"I'm so sorry." She said.
"No I am. I wasn't looking where I was going." I let go of Louis' hand and helped her pick up her books, "Statistics, Chemistry, Music." I looked at her books, "You may be in the same classes as me. Are you new?" I asked.
"Yes, and I need to find my locker." She's a little shy and driven like I was when I moved here. She went around the corner as I followed her with her books. She looked up at the locker numbers. She's one away from mine I realized as she was doing the combination and opened her locker.
"You're right next to my locker." I smiled. She looked at me and grabbed her books.
"You're American?"
"Yes, I moved here a few months ago." I told her. She is very petit. She has really long light brown hair that she dyed the tips of her hair blonde.
"Well, I'm Zoe." She smiled and put her last book in her locker.
"Skye." I shook her hand, "Oh, and this is Louis." I pointed to him.
"Welcome Zoe." Louis smiled. Zoe closed her locker.
"Let me guess, you two are dating?"
"Yeah." I smiled.
"Well, I should probably head to statistics." She said.
"Oh, you're probably in our class. Follow us." I told her. We went down to the classroom.
"Yeah, this is it." She grinned as she walked in with us.
"Sit with us?" Louis asked.
"Sure." She nodded shyly. Louis and I sat next to each other as Zoe sat behind me.
"So Lou, do you think you passed?" I smiled at him.
"The exam from Thursday? I'm hoping. Well, I did have a great tutor so I believe I did." Louis chuckled.
"Is this class hard?" Zoe asked.
"Not really. He's just really bad at math."
"Thanks for making me sound stupid. I'm just bad at math. Every other class I have A's in." Louis told her.
"I have an 'A+' in every class." I smiled at Louis.
"Skye, I have a question for you?"
"Yeah what is it Zoe?"
"At your old school, were you the school nerd?" She asked.
"Yeah, and I had no friends. I moved here and I found two people exactly like me and became friends with them. Louis wasn't one of them but at my old school I was bullied a lot. I'm still bullied here every once in a while but-"
"But she knows how to stand up for herself and others." Louis cut me off.
"Skye, I was exactly like you then. I've never had a friend before and I'm always bullied. I was the school nerd." She said quietly hoping no one would hear besides us.
"Well, then you are becoming friends with the right group of people. We'll introduce you to Niall, Harry, and Andy later. Wait Louis, is Harry working tonight?" I asked.
"No." He responded.
"How about we have everyone come over to my place. Do homework and then get some food? Zoe, would you like to come over?" I asked.
"Sure, but I'll need a ride. I'm getting a car soon but yeah I think my parents will be ok with that." She smiled.
"Awesome. Well, meet me at my locker after school. I'll give you a ride."
"Students!" Our teacher walked in. She had a stack of papers, aka our tests, and dropped them on the main desk. Oh no, she's angry, "These exams, they are..." She paused and looked at us, "Wonderful. No one got below a 'B-' and I am so proud of you all. I would also like to point out that two of the students got the bonus question right." She held the exams and walked over to me. She handed me my exam then handed Louis his. Louis got the bonus right! Oh my god! That's amazing, "Congrats you too. Louis, that'll raise your grade to an 'A-' so enjoy it and keep up the good work." She handed out the rest of the test. I looked at Louis paper.
"An 'A', oh my god. That's your highest test grade so far!" I chuckled. He looked at my paper.
"Thanks but what the hell is an 'A++'?" He asked. I looked down at my paper. What the hell?
"Skye, that letter grade I haven't given out in a long time. You already had a perfect score, then you got the bonus right. It was the only thing I could do." The teacher told me.
"Oh wow, ok, cool." I smiled.
"I've never gotten that grade before." Zoe said.
"Neither have I until now." I smiled, "Louis, do you know who you should show your grade to first?"
"Who?" He wondered.
"Niall! He'll be so surprised." I smile.
"Yes, you're so right. I see him next class. Perfect." Louis smiled.
