Chapter 25

A/N: Sorry you guys had to wait so long, was having writers block.

There is no way Dmitri was being serious.

"You can't expect me to take you seriously when you say things like that." I gasp, stepping backwards.

"This is serious and it will happen, angel." Dmitri follows me, his eyes set on mine.

I shake my head and let out a humourless laugh; this is so not happening right now

"There is no way I'm going to let that happen, not in a million years." I growl.

He raises his brows in a semblance of a shocked expression and his eyes go black.

"Are you defying me, Cassandra?" he seethes, jaw and hands clenched.

I was coming to realise that Dmitri saying my whole name either meant he was really angry or really...not.

"Y-you can't expect me to just... agree with you on everything. That's not how things work, we're meant to talk things through before making a conclusion." I stumble, moving further away from him and trying to keep my cool.

"And who made you Alpha to make conclusions?" Dmitri tilts his head to the side in question.

My wolf starts to get agitated and antsy just at the thought of being laid bare in front of the pack and my anger spikes again.

No wonder everyone called him the Mad Alpha; Dmitri was truly crazy thinking I'd cooperate so easily like the rest of his pack.

"You know what? You're a selfish jerk to think that I'll just do whatever you say without considering how I'd feel about this stupid ritual." I shove him away from me and try to walk around him.

Suddenly, I'm grabbed by the crook of my elbow and jerked back; I stumble slightly but Dmitri balances me with his hands on my shoulders.

"You will apologise for disrespecting me otherwise I will have to punish you." He says through clenched teeth.

I let out a short laugh and try to shake away from his hold but Dmitri has a tight grip on me.

"I'm not apologising for wanting my free will, Dmitri." I huff, lifting my chin in defiance.

"Very well then."

I'm dragged across the room and I continue to struggle away from Dmitri's hold but he lifts me over his shoulder and strides down a flight of stairs.

"What the hell are you doing?" I cry out.

He finally puts me down in a dark room with no windows and what looked to be underground. I notice a large steel cage in the middle of the room and it slowly sinks in.

~He won't put us in there~ my wolf scoffs.

I wasn't so sure about that.

As soon as I see keys in Dmitri's hand, I shift on an aggressive snarl and try to push his out of the way of the only door in the room.

"Not so fast, you choose to be defiant which comes with consequences, angel." Dmitri growls.

He grabs me by the scuff of my fur, his Alpha strength strong enough to lift me despite my struggles. My howls and yelps are drowned out by the soundproof walls and the fact that we're underground as I'm forcefully locked inside a cage.

"You'll stay in here until you apologise." He mutters, silver grey eyes bright against the dim lighting and filled with anger.

I bare my teeth at him before turning away from him and stick my tail up at him, a sign of disrespect to Alphas. At this point in time, I didn't give a damn anymore; Dmitri had seriously crossed a line with the whole mating in front of the pack business.
