Leo POV
_______________________________________
I thought she was crazy. Everybody, INCLUDING Annabeth had just finished fighting a crazy primordial.. and now one of the only people to have survived Hell, wanted to fight another! I died killing Gaea. After Annabeth finished translating the prophecy as much as she could I stormed out of Chiron's office and into the courtyard. HA HA. If they thought I was going to go on another suicide mission with them, they're insane. I heard footsteps following me, but I didn't bother to turn around and see who it was.
I walked into the woods, heading for Bunker 9, when a hand reached out to my shoulder and spun me around. It was Amelia. My good old half-sister who turned out to be a freaking goddess wanted to talk to me.
I bowed for effect. "What do you want, Lady Amelia?" I questioned, my voice brimming with annoyance.
"Cut that out. I'm not a goddess, okay? I'm just a weird girl with the ability to control metal, and I'm also your sister." she said, looking me deep in the eyes. It seemed like she really didn't want her godly powers.
"Half-sister." I grumbled, attempting not to look her in the eyes. If I did, then I would feel guilty.
"So what? I'm still your sister. Why won't you help us? The world is being threatened and you storm off to have a pity party? Are you going to go sulk in a cave, just because you don't want to fight? None of us want to fight, but we have to. 'Cause if no one will, then the whole world is gonna go down in a giant puddle. So, I'm going to go out there with my friends, my family, and we're going to kick some water-freak butt." Amelia said. She said all that in a few breaths, speaking very fast. I had to say, she got the point across. Her grey owl-like eyes stared sternly into mine, challenging me.
Finally, she won. "Fine. You are a great motivational speaker, you know. You would be great as one of those people in the old days who would announce things for the king."
"A herald?"
"I have no idea." I said.
"Well," she put her arm around me "That is because I have a lot of rage. If you make me more mad, I might turn into the Hulk." we laughed as we headed back to the office.
"NO! Iron Hulk. Get it? Because you can control metal." I managed to say in between my happy-hyperventilation session.
"Ha, ha. Good one, but, no." she smiled. When we entered the office again, Amelia gave me a shove and said "I've got sad-sack!"
Percy held back a giggle.
"Everybody else has agreed to a quest. Which I am stressing will be very dangerous because all of us are going. So I have a plan-" Annabeth was cut off by Jason.
"Don't make it super long. Please." It earned him a glare from Annabeth.
"Three is the usual number for a quest, and as there are nine of us here, we can have three teams of three. Percy, me, and Amelia will head down the coast by sea, taking the Argo II if Leo can have it completely rebuilt in a day." she looked at me with raised eyebrows.
"Of course I can. I'm Mr. McSizzle." I put on my classic grin.
"Good. Jason, Piper, and Leo will take Festus in the air. Nico, Hazel, and Frank will take a series of buses and such, on the ground. We'll IM every day or if there is any trouble, and if my calculations are correct, we should be able to rendezvous in Virginia, half way down to catch up. There, we'll make sure my plan will... uh, go to plan." she finished. There were only a few things going through my mind at that moment. Argo. Dragon. Thank GODS she didn't drone on and on. Holy no way, I need to learn some metal skills from Amelia... or she needs mine. Focus, I thought.
