Holy Hades, readers. I know it's been a while, but it's summer vacation. In so sorry, I know it's been sooooo long. I'll try to write more.
Amelia's P.O.V
Stupid, stupid Amelia. Why did you not go with them, I thought as I ran down the beach I had seen the demigods go. I stay behind to fight one battle. I won of course because, pardon my language, I'm a badass. I used some of my awesome goddess mojo-magic-skills-stuff and in about ten minutes, the 'army' was scattered around the field in golden dust. I walked out with minimal damage. Being immortal of course, but I did receive a deep cut on my left arm from a stupid drakon. It immediately regretted it, because I used my special skates to de-scale it before killing it. Meh, it might have been a bit violent, but you have to be sometimes.
Where was I? Right, running down the beach (because I was in my shoes), looking for any sign of that idiot, Percy and the rest of them. After explored more and more, I started to search these caves that popped up. I found one with all the supplies scattered everywhere. No blood, but trace of water. I looked anywhere for a clue. I was gathering some weapons when I found a scale and what I really hoped was seaweed.
Oh, stupid stupid! I mentally scolded myself. How could I miss all of those tracks outside. Man, I'm thick. Oh, listen to that, my thoughts are turning British. Well, it was only one word. I need to stop watching so much Doctor Who. SHUT UP YOU DISTRACTING BRAIN.
"PERCY! WHEN I FIND YOU I'M GOING TO SMASH A PIE INTO YOUR FACE!" I yelled as I followed the tracks.
And I found the cave. It looked like it was hidden behind a veil of blackness. I could tell the mist was trying to hide it, but I was starting to see through it. I heard voices. Some whispering that I recognized as the demigods and some other voices that sounded so strange. I could tell they were girls. I think that's worse. They're always evil and more violent than male monsters.
"Are you ready do comply?" I heard one of the... Things say.
"No. Godly blood? For what? Please don't tell me you need us to wake her up?" Percy said. Or well, complained.
"No, not like that. Thalassa is waking. In a manner of a few days, she will be at the peak of her power, so no, that is not the reason we need you." another one spoke.
I tried not to make any noises as I started to slowly inch my way throughtrhw darkness of the cave. It was getting easier to make them out, but I had to stay in the shadows, stay unnoticed. I got a good look at the creatures. They were mermaid-like.
"Oh. OH. OH GODS that's gross." I heard none other than Annabeth CRY out.
"What?" Jason asked.
"Pipes, remember how your mom was born?" Annabeth said. There was silence for a minute then a gasp of realisation.
"OH, OH you're right, that's pretty sick." Piper said.
"OHHHH." I heard Frank. Frank? Yes, I'm pretty sure.
Then the stupid heads all said "What?" Yes, Little Pyromaniac, Fishboy the Aquarium Manager, and Mini Power plant. I would be really dissapointed if you didn't get that. Yes I'm doing a short 4th wall break. I can do that. Look at me, I'm pulling a Deadpool.
"Oceanus, blood, Thalassa, Aphrodite." Annabeth explained.
"Oh. Wait, I got it!" Leo exclaimed "Wait. What the sh-". What can I say, I have great timing.
I took one of the metal rods from my sword and made a small, thin, and sharp disk.
"LANGUAGE!" I shouted as I launched the disk in the air. I interrupted Leo's swearing with great finess. The circle sliced it's way through all the bonds restraining my friends.
They dropped to the ground, stunned. But only for a second. They were back on their feet in a second. We charged.
The mermaids faces. They were barley phased. They just headed to the water. Then I knew it was bad.
There was a bright yellow light. And when I say bright, I mean sunglasses painted black wouldn't do squat.
"LOOK AWAY!" Jason shouted. I didn't look away. I didn't need to. But from the light emerged the mermaids, exept with legs. Still scaly, yes, but in normal clothes with knives swords.
"What the Hades?" Annabeth said in awe.
"Okay, normal? They're normal now?" Frank questioned.
"I don't know, just fight!" I exclaimed. It was as good of a battle cry as anything else, and we charged. Eight demigods and a teenage d-list goddess against a brand-new species made by another grouchy primordial, what could go wrong?
Well, let me tell you, it was harder than you would think. They were like ninjas. Swinging and kicking with swift, decisive movements. They were so cohesive. Fighting together like one Tasmanian Devil with swords. But we were good to. We blocked their blows nd scratched at them, not able to land a good stab... Until Frank turned into a chipmunk.
If I wasn't fighting to live, I would've laughed. As a chipmunk he snuck past the tangling mess of legs and feet, climbed up on top of the blue-scaled one's head and turned back into a big Asian boy.
His sudden weight brought her down. Taking the opportunity, Piper used her dagger to stab it right in the heart. In a flash, she was gone and all that was left was... A puddle? I thought the universal death of a Greek monster was a poor of gross golden dust, not the same reaction as a waterbaloon popping.
The other two fought on, barley even noticing they were down a... Thing. I was attemting to disarm one of them, when they were swept up into a big sphere of water. I looked to my left and saw Percy controlling the water and Jason. Jason summoned lightning and shocked the ball with so much electricity, it could power a grocery store. I don't know why I said that, it was the first thing that popped into my head.
They disintegrated into water that matched the sphere. Percy let it go and it dropped to the ground, spraying us with water and/or thing guts.
"Percy? Jason? Nice." Annabeth laughed. She had a few scratches and bruises, as did the rest of us. I mean not me.
But at least we were alive and relatively unharmed. I had a bad feeling we shouldn't travel in the yacht anymore. The waters were dangerous and we had no idea how to stop what lurked in the sea.
