Grace ran to look out the window. There she saw Samuel sitting in the apple tree that they picked apples from the day before. "Thank goodness." Grace said to herself. "Samuel," Grace called out. "Grandma wants to see you." Grace was expecting a "NO!!" from him, but there was no reply. "Samuel, I said grandma wants to see you." Grace called out again. Still no reply. "Samuel?" Grace said as she climbed out the window. "I can see you in the apple tree." Grace said as she approached the tree. "Go away." said Samuel. That wasn't Samuel's voice, it was a much more mature voice.
"Samuel?" Grace said confused. She couldn't quite see Samuel, or the person, through the leaves. An apple fell from the tree and hit Grace on the head. "Ow!" Grace yelled. "I said go away, I don't even know you." said the person. Grace now knew for sure that this was not Samuel. Samuel only had a few voices that he can do, and this was not one of the few. Plus Samuel knew the consequences when he played that trick on Grace, even at their grandparents house. "You're not Samuel, are you?" asked Grace. She felt so stupid asking that question, that was only a question she heard people ask in movies. If it was Samuel she would probably feel even stupider. "Who the heck is Samuel, just stop talking to me, go find your own tree." said the person. Grace wasn't looking for a tree to hide in, she was looking for Samuel.
"What are you doing in my grandmother's apple tree?" asked Grace. What was he doing there? There is no houses for a couple miles down the road. Did he run away, just like Samuel? "NO!!" Grace told herself. "He couldn't have gone to far." Grace said, still talking to herself. "What are you doing here, like, out in the middle of nowhere?" Grace asked the boy. "Do you know where my brother is? Did you see which way he went? Wait, by the way where did you come from? What is your name? Why are y..." Wait, wait, wait, too many questions, I can't think straight when people keep talking and talking, and don't even let me talk." said the boy, interrupting Grace.
"Grace why have you been out here for so long? You're going to be late for school." Grace's grandma said. "By the way, have you seen Samuel?"
