After her mother had died, Grace's father was never happy again. Grace only had her father and her brother, Samuel, left. Until her father had left them behind. Their grandparents had offered to babysit them while their father worked, but never came back. For 2 months no one knew where he was, but one day his boss called and said he was in Japan. Grace's grandparents were too poor to afford plane tickets. So when summer came and they were out of school, they just stayed with their grandparents until their father decided to come back for them, but he never did.
