part seven : forever.

*Val's POV*

Even though I was furious with Hunter, I couldn't stand knowing he was so upset. Brandon told me that he couldn't stop crying, and even after knowing Hunter all these years, I've only seen him cry twice. Both times were back when we were little kids, so this had to be bad.

I texted him a simple "hey", hoping he would have something to explain. I had to hear him out, right?

I decided to go over there, first of all, i kind of just wanted to hug him, and second, it was easier to tell a lie in person. I looked like a mess, but I honestly didn't care. I was in leggings, a big sweatshirt, and a messy bun. I wasn't wearing makeup, and my face was stained with tears. 

I told Nick I was going to talk to Hunter, and he thought it was a good idea, even though he was just as mad as I am. I walked out, and down to the Rowland's.

When I rang the bell, Ashton ran to the door and opened it. I gave him a quick hug, and asked when Hunter was.

"He's in his room, he won't talk to anyone though. He is so sad, I think he misses you." Ashton explained, I gave him a sad smile and went up to Hunter's room.

I knocked on his door, and he opened it, looking like a mess. You could tell he was crying, a lot. His hair was messy, he looked so sad, he was just a mess. It hurt me so much to see him like that.

He walked over to his bed, motioning for me to sit down, without saying anything. I sat down, and we just looked at eachother for a while. Finally Hunter said "I know what I did was wrong. I'm honestly so so sorry, and I can completely explain. Please, just hear me out?" I nodded, and let him explain what happened.

I didn't know if I should believe it or not, but I knew Hunter would never lie to me. Even if he did lie, I would be able to tell.

"I believe you, and forgive you, I just can't believe Mackenzie." I said, in shock. Hunter nodded, and just waited for me to say something else. "Look at the two of us, we're both a mess. We need eachother in our lives, right?" I laughed a little, and Hunter hugged me, tightly.

"Well, Val, will you take me back?" Hunter asked, and I was silent.

I forgave him, I really, really did, but I dont know if i'm ready for this, again. We we're closer as friends, eventhough I loved him, a lot.

"Hunter...you I know I love you, so , so much. I'm just not ready for this." He looked upset, but also understanding. "So...friends?" He asked, I shook my head, "bestfriends?" Hunter smiled at me and said, "Forever?" "Forever."
