Becoming the Enemy

Everything seemed to happen in slow motion. Igneel hit the ground, then nothing. Everybody just kind of, froze. I knew this was my chance to leave without much of a problem, so I turned away from the scene before me and opened a portal to Acnologia's cavern.

In the moments right before I stepped into the portal, I saw a flash of movement then a tug against my neck. Everyone was thrown back as my magic power exploded outwards. Just as I disappeared from the clearing, I realized Gray had ripped the necklace from my neck.

When I appeared in Acnologia's cave, I had had enough. What really set me off was when Acnologia looked at me sympathetically.

"This was exactly why I left in the first place! Sure, I didn't know anything about myself, but I did know that I was dangerous! I left so that when I finally came back I wouldn't hurt the people I love, and guess what, that's exactly WHAT I DID!" I yelled, kicking over a rock. Acnologia stared down at me sadly.

"They don't understand any of it yet, once they understand it will be different, I promise." He said. I knew he was right, but I did just kill the dragon that raised Natsu, even if he did know the truth I highly doubt he would ever be able to forgive me. I sighed, sliding down against the boulder behind me.

"Acnologia, what do I do know?" I asked helplessly.

"I'm not sure if this is exactly what you want to hear right now, but might I suggest you go along the route of public enemy?" He said frankly. When he saw the look I gave him, he continued further."  For starters, you are the dragon slayer of death raised by me, you did just kill the king of the fire dragons, and your father is the most powerful dark wizard to ever exist."

"Excuse me?"I said, hinting at the last part.

"You know that dragons only raise dragon slayers right? You have to come from somewhere. The only thing different about your situation as opposed to the other dragon slayers is that your father gave you to me to raise, he wanted you to have the best life possible. And I know what you are thinking, why would he give you to me instead of a different dragon. Well, your father is a bit, misunderstood to say the least, you'll understand better from him."

"So let me get this straight. My father is Zeref, the most powerful dark wizard ever, and I was raised by Acnologia, the dragon of death? Just perfect." I muttered.

"Based on your current situation, I have to say it's the best option." Acnologia said sadly. I knew that he was right, it was either find my father or disappear from the public eye.

"You said that Zeref is just misunderstood, but he is the most powerful dark wizard to ever exist, so you can understand why I'm confused." I told him. He nodded.

"It's best you hear it from him. You'll find him at your mother's grave on Tenrou Island." Acnologia responded, opening up a portal for me to go through.

"Before I go, do you have anything I can use to mask my power? Gray may have taken my last item." I mentioned. He handed me a silver ring with a black onyx on it. I thanked him and walked through the portal, yet again heading into the unknown.

TENROU ISLAND

When I stepped through the portal I ended up on the sandy shores of Tenrou. Looking up at the giant tree in the center of the island, so many emotions boiled up inside me. This was the island that stole seven years from my friends. Acnologia is the one who caused them to be trapped. Zeref is the one who ordered him to do it. Despite all of that, here I was, searching for the very wizard who helped ruin my life.

'Where did Acnologia say he would be?' I thought to myself. Then, suddenly, all the pieces fell into place.

He's at a grave

My mothers grave

The only person buried here is the first master of Fairy Tail

Mavis

My parents are Zeref and Mavis

What?!?!?!?!?! Crazy, isn't it? Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been buried in state tests, AP tests, and I've been sick since mid March. Pertussis, AKA Whooping Cough, turns out as you get older the vaccine becomes less effective. Anywho, I can't promise another chapter anytime soon because I have a crap ton of school work to catch up on, but I will make an effort.
