"We hate you Rayn, we always did."

"We were so glad when we heard that you left Fairy Tail."

"You always thought so highly of yourself, when you never even did anything."

"Stop!" I yelled, tears rushing down my face. Why were my best friends saying these things? "Natsu, Gray, Erza, I'm sorry, I had to, I didn't have a choice." But, as they continued to yell horrid things at me, I knew deep down that I did have a choice, and I chose to leave them behind.

I bolted up, pushing the covers off of me. 'It was just a dream, just a dream' I told myself over and over. Throughout my time here I had had dreams like this almost every night, yet this one had more of an impact. You see, today was my very last day in the dragon realm, I had finished my training and was finally ready to return to Fiore.

"Rayn, it is time." I heard Igneel say from outside. I walked through the house looking around, this was it. I made my way down the front porch steps and came face to face with all of my dragon friends.

"Rayn, there is one thing you need to remember before you leave, time travels faster here, therefore about 8 1/2 years have passed, so there is no telling what life will be like." Igneel told me, opening the portal.

I nodded and began walking towards the portal, leaving everything I knew yet again. In an instant I was in a completely new world, I was no longer in a forest surrounded by dragons, but I was on top of a grassy hill. I looked around me, trying to figure out where the heck I was. Suddenly, a small pink creature with a green face emerged out of the bushes. An exceed? I figured that if an exceed where here, its dragon slayer partner would arrive shortly.

I scurried up a tree and adjusted the wind so that I was downwind, making it easy for me to smell people and harder for them to smell me. Waiting for someone to arrive, I watched the small exceed chase around a butterfly.

"Frosche, you know you shouldn't wonder around alone." A dark haired boy said as he walked up to the exceed. This must be Rogue, the shadow dragon slayer. A blonde haired boy and a brown exceed joined Rogue and Frosche. The dragons told me that I would most likely find Rogue and Sting together, and I guess Ingeel sent me here for this very reason.

"Who are you, and why are you in a tree?" The brown exceed asked me. Sting and Rogue both looked up at me, noticing that they weren't alone.

"Oh, sorry, I was just looking for Magnolia and kinda got lost. I wasn't sure what kind of people were in the area so I hid in this tree when I heard you coming." I said quickly.

"Oh, well you aren't that far from Magnolia, it's just a bit south of here, though I can't see why you would want to go there. I mean, it would have been cool 6 1/2 years ago, but since Natsu and them went missing, there really isn't anything there." Sting said, looking bored.

What? Natsu, disappeared? What about Gray, Erza, Lisanna? Igneel told me that all my training would help me protect others, but the people I care about most are far from needing protection.

"Are you a mage by chance?" Rogue asked, staring into my gray eyes.

"I am." I replied, staring right back into his maroon eyes.

"Cool, what type of magic do you do?" Sting asked, gaining a glare from Rogue.

"Oh, I can control the elements." I told them. That was the magic Igneel and I had decided on me claiming was my primary magic.

"That's awesome, can you control other mages' elements?" Rogue asked, making a shadow appear from his fist.

"Actually," I said, "I can." And with a flick of my wrist his shadow twirled into the air and disappeared from sight.

"That's so cool! You know what, Rogue and I are in a guild called Sabertooth, you should join. Master doesn't let just anyone join, but he won't be able to pass you up." Sting said, smiling at me. Join Sabertooth? Well, I did need to figure out what happened in my absence, and that would allow me to protect these two dragon slayers.

"Are you sure I can join?" I asked Sting and Rogue.

"Positive." Sting said as Rogue nodded.

"Okay, I will take you up on your offer." I told them, holding my head high.

"One quick thing," Rogue said, turning to me. "You haven't told us your name."

Crap, I can't say Rayn, that's a unique name and they will surly connect the dots...Hmmm.

"Brooke, my name is Brooke."
