"Igneel! Igneel! Igneel, are you here?"
"Did you guys hear that?" I asked Erza and Gray, looking around the meadow. Igneel. I know that name, but why?
"Hear what? I didn't hear anything," Erza said, looking at me strangely.
"Don't worry about it Erza, Ray's hearing is really good. Like, Dragon Slayer good,"Gray told Erza, giving me a goofy grin.
"Dragon Slayer huh? I wonder what they're like. I heard one recently joined Phantom Lord, Gajeel I think it was? Anyway, heard he's not the nicest person to be around," Erza said, deep in thought. Gajeel, why do I recognize that name too?
"I'll be right back, I'm going to go see who's yelling. Stay here, I'll holler if I need you," I told them as I made my way into the forest. As I got deeper into the forest, I noticed a slight odor. It was a male, probably a year older then me. To make sure I wasn't detected, I used one of my spells to realese a poisonous gas into the surrounding area. All the poison did was make it so you couldn't smell for about 45 minutes, so I wasn't worried.
"Ew, what's tha- Hey, I can't smell anything! Is someone out there? I will find you and I will fight you, so you may as well come out now!" I laughed at the pink haired boy screaming this at the trees.
"Who's Igneel?" I asked, jumping down from the tree I was in. When he began walking towards me, I quickly added, "I don't want to fight you, I just heard you calling his name and thought I might be able to help. I've lived in Magnolia for years, so I figured I would offer you my survices."
" Did you do this to my nose?" He asked, looking at me suspiously.
"Oh yeah, sorry about that, just a precaution. Your sense of smell will come back in about 40 or so minutes," I replied.
" Well, fine, as long as it comes back. Anyway Igneel is the one who raised me. He's the king of the fire dragons!" The boy said proudly. Igneel, is...a dragon? Why did I recognize the name? Dragons haven't been around for a long time.
"Oh, well, sorry, but no Fire Dragons have been here. How long have you been looking?" I asked, looking up at the sky.
"About a year. I really hoped he would be here, I've looked all around Fiore and nothing! I guess I'll never find him," he said sadly.
"Natsu, you're a Dragon Slayer, why don't you join Fairy Tail? It's a wizard guild just inside the city! It's full of wonderful people, and you travel all over the place. You can look for him when you're on missions and stuff," I said to him.
" How do you know that?" He asked me, giving me a weird look.
"I'm in Fairy Tail, anyway, all wizards know what a guild is," I said in a bored voice.
"Not that, how did you know my name, and that I am a Dragon Slayer?" He asked. How did I know that? I didn't even realize I sad that.
"Oh, um, I've heard of you before. Dragon Slaying is a lost magic, so of course everybody's curious," I said, sighing.
"I didn't know I was that big of a deal. Well you know who I am, so who are you?" He asked, not questioning my last answer.
" How rude of me! I'm Rayn from Fairy Tail, but you can call me Ray. You can come back to the guild with me if you want, I just have to go round up my friends from the creek bed," I said, motioning him to follow me. We walked out of the forest in silence and found Erza and Gray sitting right where I had left them.
"Erza, Gray, this is Natsu, the fire dragon slayer, he's going to join Fairy Tail."
YAY NATSU!!!!! Natsu is finally in the story! And again, we are slowly learning more and more about Ray. Anyway, I hoped you liked this chapter. See you in the next one!
