Jensen:
"It's been 1 week and you're telling me you have nothing on Parker?" I growled.
"Yes, Alpha," my third, Asher, said. Mom's going to be so furious. Aurora is too. She cared more about Parker. Her and Parker have always been close. I think it's because she can relate to how he feels. Since Aurora and I have been mates, she hasn't been like that. Especially not since she became Luna.
"If you don't have anything about his whereabouts by tomorrow night, I'm going out there to find him myself," I growled. Asher bowed his head in respect. Asher walked out of my office. "Where are you Parker?" I mumbled to myself.Parker:
"Come on!" I yelled, smiling. The rogue came at me but I moved out of the way. I tripped him, got on him, and started punching him.
"Truce!" He yelled. I chuckled and got off of him. I lifted my hands in the air.
"Who wants to challenge me? The rogue prince!" I shouted. Everyone around us started cheering and clapping. I offered to help the rogue up but he didn't want to. I just shrugged my shoulders. Just then the most wonder scent filled my nostrils.
'Mate' Eli growled.
Turning, I saw the most beautiful girl ever. She had long wavy brown hair and piercing green eyes.
"I'll challenge you," she said, her voice angelic. I smiled.
"Alright then. I promise to go easy on you, princess," I said. I knew she was my mate and she knew it too. "Ready?" She nodded her head once.
We were circling each other, waiting to see who would make the first move.
"Come on already!" She shouted. I smirked.
"Ladies first," I said. She rolled her eyes and came running at me. She threw her fist at me and I grabbed it. Sparks went flying.
"How good is your aim?" I asked, still holding her fist.
"Put up you hands and I'll show you," she said. I put up my hands expecting her to punch them. Instead she punched me straight in the face. I stumbled backwards, surprised by how hard she could hit.
"Were you even aiming for the hand?" I asked. Just then I heard someone chuckle and slowly clapping.
"She has been looking forward to punching you in the face," he said. I growled and went in front of my mate. The guy didn't smell like a rogue.
"You're not a rogue. What the hell are you doing here?" I asked. The guy stared at me for a minute before answering.
"You're not a rogue either. So tell me, Parker, what are you doing here?" He asked. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Who are you?" The guy chuckled.
"I'm an old family friend." I looked at him. Like really looked at him. His hair was a dark brown and his eyes were green. He looked like my dad. I've heard stories, myths, that dad had a brother. No one has ever seen my dad's brother. Dad never spoke a word to anyone about it. That's why they weren't sure if he existed or not.
"You can't be," I muttered. He smiled.
"So it's not true. Guys with good looks aren't always dumb."
"H-how are you here?"
"Well Parker, when two people really love each other-"
"I know how. I mean I've only heard stories that you might have existed," I interrupted.
"Ouch. The name is Xander by the way," he said, extending his hand out. I hesitantly shook it.
"I would tell you my name but you already know it. Why are you here?" I asked.
"Well Dylan called and said that you were missing. Since he doesn't want to risk coming out here, he sent me to come find you. So here I am." He held up his arms.
"I'm not going back," I said.
"Oh come on," Xander said.
"I'm not going back to being treated like I don't exist. Like I don't matter. I'm surprised they want to know where I am. They just want me back because I'm a pack member. One of their warriors."
"At least your parents didn't give you away when you were a baby. Because they already had a son. And since he was the first born, he was the strongest. Life's not fair, Parker. Now I promised Dylan I'd bring you back safe. Let's go," Xander said, reaching for me. I shook his arm off.
"Don't touch me. I don't give a flying fuck if you promised him. I'm not going back and that's final!" I yelled. My rogues were getting anxious. They all treated me like their alpha. It felt great. Some started to shift into their wolves. Xander looked over his shoulder right before the rogue attacked him. Xander quickly got out of the way and snapped the rogues neck.
"I don't think you want your rogues to fight me. I'm stronger and faster than you think." Xander grinned and flashed his eyes black. I held up my hand, signaling them not to attack. One rogue jumped at Xander and I got him by his throat.
"I told you not to do anything!" I growled. I threw him on the floor and he whimpered.
"When I tell you to do something, you do it. I specifically told you not to attack him and you disobeyed me!" The power radiating off of me, made everyone submit and shift back. I grabbed the rogue by his throat, cutting off his air. His face started turning a deep shade of purple.
"Parker," Xander said. I let him go and looked at him. "You're not a killer. I know you're not. You're just a misunderstood teenager."
"You don't know anything about me," I said. I turned around, grabbed my mate's face and smashed my lips with hers. I broke the kiss.
"What's your name, princess?" I asked. She was still dazed by the kiss. "Princess?" She blinked, her face turning a light shade of pink.
"Clara," she said.
"Beautiful." I ran my hand down her face lightly.
"Clara," Xander called. She looked down and went towards him. I growled.
"Leave her here," I said. Xander looked at me like I was stupid.
"I have to take care of her. I'm not leaving her here with you."
"She's my mate," I said. Xander looked at me then at Clara. Xander grabbed Clara by her arm and I growled. "Let her go." Eli was trying to take control. The last time that happened, he nearly killed Carter. Nothing would stop him from killing Xander. Family or not.
Xander gave Clara at me. When I grabbed her, sparks ignited. I checked her arm making sure there wasn't a mark.
"Dylan also told me that you have a bit of a temper. If I tick you off you could easily kill me. Especially for grabbing your mate like that," he said. He was at least smart enough not to completely piss me off. "I know you almost killed Carter. He's still in the hospital. He's been in a coma."
My heart sank. Carter is in a coma because of me. Because I let my anger get control of me. Because Eli had to take things in his own hands.
'Are you fucking serious?' I growled at Eli.
'He was trying to control me' he said back. I rolled my eyes at him.
"I can't go back. Not even to see Carter. If I do I know Jensen will just lock me away in the dungeon. Where he keeps the rogues," I said. I wanted to see Carter. I wanted to apologize for Eli's stupid behavior.
'Watch it' Eli growled.
'Oh bite me.'
"I can't go back to Dylan empty handed. He'd skin me and hang me over the fireplace." I had no doubt that he would actually do that. My dad could get pretty angry. That's where I get my bad temper from. That and some from my mom.
"Then don't go back," I said. Xander looked at me. I knew he didn't want to face my dad. I wasn't about to let that happen either. "Just stay here with us." On cue, the rogues started yelling. Xander looked around at everyone. He even looked at Clara. I saw her nod her head yes.
"Only for a little while. But I do have to check in with your dad," said Xander. I was afraid of that.
"Say you think you found me but you're not sure. And if they send anyone, I'm gonna die. Simple as that," I said.
"You're dad's not stupid. If you say he doesn't care what happens to you then he'll send someone."
"I don't care what you say. Just don't tell him you found me." Xander nodded. I signaled a couple of female rogues.
"Show Xander where he'll be sleeping," I told one.
"Yes, Prince Parker," she said. I grinned and winked at Clara.
"You'll be sleeping with me. In my bed," I said. "Oh and I know you're a Luna." Clara's eyes widened.
"H-how did you know that?" She asked.
"I could smell it on you. I could feel your power and you hit pretty hard," I said, wrapping my arm around her shoulder.
"Xander's your guard right? I also know that you lead your pack by yourself," I said.
"How do you know all of these things? Are you a warlock wolf hybrid?" She asked. I chuckled.
"Don't be silly. I'm a very good guessed." I gave her a toothy grin and we walked to our room.
