Parker:

I shifted back to human form, putting my clothes back on. Clara was doing the same. As was Xander. We were 2 miles away from Clara's pack. The pack I'd soon be leading. To say I was nervous was an understatement. I think Clara could sense I was nervous. She wrapped her arms around my chest.
"You'll be okay," she said, smiling brightly at me. I smiled and kissed her soft lips.
"Maybe."
"Come on love birds. We'll need to hurry to make it for dinner. I'm starving," Xander said. We started walking, each step making my stomach turn. I decided to get my mind off things by asking Clara something.
"Has Xander found his mate yet?" I asked. Xander never talked about her if he did.
"He did," she said, her voice fading.
"What happened?" I asked. Clara took a deep breath.
"I don't think I should talk about it. He'll hear me. I don't want to resurface those feelings for him."
I decided not to pry. I wouldn't want someone to tell what happened to my mate. But Xander wouldn't let anything happen to his mate. Well he seems like he wouldn't.

We walked for what seemed like ages, and we came across three wolves. I saw them turn and I stood in front of Clara. She shoved me aside and ran into the tall brown headed one's arms. He picked her up and spun her around. I growled and tried to walk over there. Xander stopped me.
"Little brother," Xander said. I stopped and stared at them. I could see the resemblance.
"Clara! I'm so happy you're back!" Her brother exclaimed.
"I'm happy to be back! I missed you, Simon!" Clara's smile was brighter than I've ever seen it. She's happier when she's with family. I couldn't take that away from her.
The other two wolves hugged Clara too. I growled again.
"Best friends," Xander spoke.
"I don't care. My mate," I growled.
"They have mates," Xander explained.
I waited until they said their hellos when I walked over to Clara and the wolves.
"Oh! Babe!" Clara smiled brightly and kissed me.
"Who is this?" Simon asked. "Why did you bring a rogue?"
I growled. "I'm her mate."
Simon got closer to my face. "Hurt her in anyway, and I'll kill you."
I growled back and Clara got between us. "That's enough. Simon. This is Parker, my mate. And Parker, this is Simon; my brother. Learn to get along."
One of the other wolves coughed. "Oh! And this is John and Matt! My best friends! Also known as the soon to be beta and my third!"
"Well let's go inside. I just informed mom and dad that you're here. They're so excited," Simon said.
Clara grabbed my hand and we walked inside the border of her territory. I was nervous and could feel Eli pacing. We walked past several different wolves, all males.
We finally reached, what I assume is the pack house. It was big and beautiful. Made of stone. It resembled a castle. All we were missing were knights and a dragon.
Simon threw open the front door and announced that we were coming in.
Then two older wolves showed up. The alphas. The male: brown hair, green eyes. Like Clara. The female: brown hair, blue eyes. Like Simon. Their parents. My future in-laws. Great.
I stood up taller and Clara ran into her parents arms.
"Mom!" She hugged her mom, her mom wrapping her arms all the way around her.
"Sweetheart! I'm glad you're back!"
"Dad!" Clara exclaimed, pulling him into a hug.
"You've made it back in time," he said. Clara pulled back.
"Yessir, I have. I have also brought my mate. The future alpha," Clara said, straightening her shirt. Clara's mom's face lit up at the mention of her mate. She looked over to me.
"Very tall. Nice strong jawline. Broad shoulders. But smells of a rogue. Why is that?" Clara's mother asked.
"Well you see-" Clara started. She was interrupted by her father.
"I know you. You're Alpha Dylan's boy. The young one. The unstable one," Clara's father said.
"I am not unstable. And don't you dare speak my father's name," I warned.
"I can do what I want, boy. And I suggest that you watch your tone in the presence of an alpha."
"I don't have to listen to you. You're not MY alpha."
"Don't disrespect me, pup! I could easily kill you!" Clara's father shouted. Clara jumped at the mention of that.
"Vince! That is enough!" Clara's mom shouted.
"You do not tell me what to do, Abby!" Vince shouted back.
I saw Simon and Clara back away slowly. I was starting to think that Vince yelling at Abby was a bad idea.
Clara stood beside me, clutching my arm. She was trying to calm me but also trying to hide.
"Did you just yell at me?" Abby asked. I saw Vince gulp.
"No. Of course, I didn't sweetie."
"Now you're lying? Tsk tsk. That's not a very good boy," Abby said.
"I'm sorry, darling," Vince apologized. "I am very very sorry for lying and yelling at you."
Everyone knows that the Luna is the only thing the Alpha is afraid of.
The doors opened to another room and in walked a wolf. "Dinner is served."
