I started packing up what little clothes I did own. It all fit in the black duffle bag I took before I left. I didn't realize how long I had actually been gone. 8 months and 7 days.
I stopped packing and looked around the room. I had cleaned it up when I got here. The house itself was actually well cleaned. You know, for rogues owning it. It was big. Stone and cold. The dungeon is colder and dark. And the fighting arena, for practice, is out in the back. The first place I met Clara.
"Ready to go?" Clara asked, bringing me from my thoughts. I looked up at her small athletic build. I took in her beauty. Her beautiful chocolatey brown eyes, her dark brown hair. She was stunning. Even though she was wearing sweatpants and had no makeup on.
I smiled. "Yeah. Just taking in the place."
Clara smiled and walked over to me, placing herself in between my legs. She was short enough that our faces met when I was sitting down. Clara wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me.
"You'll love it there. And they'll love you. It'll take some getting used to it, but it'll all be fine. I promise," she said, staring into my eyes. I kissed her again.
"If you say so."
I stood up and pulled her out the door. I walked down the cold stone steps and into the backyard. All the rogues were there. Most had an angry expression, while some looked sad. I spotted Xander standing by the hoard of wolves. I stood in front of them, clearing my throat.
"I know I haven't been here for very long but I had a wonderful time here," I said, holding my hands together. I didn't exactly have the time of my life and I didn't prepare a speech, but I felt like I should say something. I cleared my throat once again. "I know I haven't been the most lovable 'Prince' or leader, but I did feel like you guys listened pretty well. We had a rough patch but we got through it. If everyone listened and worked together without huge fights, you guys could potentially become a pack. If you guys had a better leader. An alpha."
"But you are our alpha!" Someone yelled.
"I am not your alpha. I am sure that one day you might find a wolf worthy and strong enough to become your alpha. Maybe even one of you could be the alpha."
I stopped talking and stared at everyone. I heard feet shuffle and a few coughs. I didn't know what else to say. There wasn't anything else to say.
I couldn't think of anything else so I just waved and stepped away from the wolves.
"Where are you going?" Someone shouted.
"To be with my mate," I answered, pulling Clara to me. I didn't want to give them specific details. They didn't need to know where exactly I was going.
"Why can't she stay here?" A little rogue asked. I looked down at her and smiled.
"Because she's a Luna. She has her own pack. And since I'm her mate, I have to go with her to help lead it," I whispered. "But don't tell anyone. It's our little secret."
The little girl giggled and nodded her head. I smiled and ruffled her hair. She took off, giggling. I turned back to Clara and saw her staring at me.
"You're good with children," she said, smiling. I nodded.
"Yeah?" I questioned. I wasn't sure what she was getting at.
"That's hot," she said, laughing.
I smiled. "I'm hot anyway."
Clara laughed and pushed my shoulder playfully. "You know what I mean."
I smiled and kissed her. "I've always wanted kids. Not 3. 2 max."
"Why not 3? Too many?" Clara asked.
I shook my head no. "The middle child will be treated unfair. No one will pay attention to the middle one. I don't want my kid going through that. Ever."
"I think if you did have 3 kids, you wouldn't treat the middle one like that. Especially not if you know how it feels."
"Maybe. But I only think having 2 is the best option."
"What if I want 3?" Clara asked.
"Well that sucks for you," I answered. Clara frowned. Then she quickly gave a smirk.
"I guess I'll just have to find someone else to father my third child," she said. I growled and pulled her to me.
"No one, but me, is allowed to touch you like that. I will find them and kill them," I growled. Eli wanted to take control. I knew that if he did, it wouldn't end so well.
"I was only kidding, babe. Don't get upset," Clara said, staring up at me. She wrapped her small arms around me, trying to make me not mad. She looked up at me and frowned, noticing I was still mad.
Then she started to grind herself on me. A smirk plastered on her face. I stiffened. She did it again and this time I picked her up and started to kiss her.

Clara:

I laid my head on Parker's bare chest. Hearing his heartbeat was soothing to me. Knowing that his heart beats for me, made my insides warm.
"We should get going if we want to make it there by nightfall," Parker said. I was a little nervous about him coming to be with my pack. But I knew he would do everything right. That he'd be a great leader.
"Yeah I guess so." I didn't want Parker to leave. He was so warm. Parker got up and walked to find his clothes. I stared at him. The way his muscles were perfectly sculpted and his V line was beyond perfect. He was absolutely perfect. In every way.
"Enjoying the view, Princess?" Parker asked, smirking.
"Oh yeah," I said, giggling. Parker smiled and attached his lips to mine. Our mouths dancing. He pulled back and gave me my clothes.
"It's time to get dressed. We have a long journey ahead of us, Princess." I grabbed my clothes and slipped them on.
"I'm ready."
Truth is, I'm not ready. I'm not ready to go back there. There was a reason I left. Not just to accompany Xander. Or to find my mate. That place was like a prison to me. But now that I have my mate, it should be different. I'm going to be the Luna. I'll have control. It'll be fine.
