Parker:

"You need to decide, Parker," Clara said. I sighed.
"How am I supposed to live in a pack again? After I've been treated like shit," I said. Clara grabbed my hands.
"Parker, look at me," she said. I looked into Clara's big brown eyes. "You will be the alpha. They won't treat you bad. They really won't. Parker, they'll love you." I looked down. Clara put her soft hand on my cheek. "It would mean a lot if you became the alpha." I leaned into her touch. I gently grabbed her hand and left a tender kiss on it.
"Princess, I would love too. But I can't handle that responsibility just yet," I said. Clara's small smile faded. She nodded her head and started walking off into the kitchen.
"Clara!" I called after her. I walked into the kitchen to see her sitting at the island, with her head in her hands. "Princess?" I heard soft sobs come from her small frame. I rushed over to her. "Princess, don't cry." She wrapped her arms around my torso. I rested my head on hers and held her.
"Why can't you just do this for me? Parker, you know how much it means to me," Clara said. I sighed.
"That's too much pressure on me. It'll make my anxiety go nuts. I just can't do it right now," I said, calmly.
"But you will do it?" Clara asked, a little hope in her voice. I took a deep breath.
"I will. Just not right now."
Clara squeezed me and squealed.
"I love you!" She squealed. "This will prove to your father that you're a better leader than your brother! You are the rogue prince," she said. I smiled at that. The rogue prince. I won't be anymore. That title will be replaced with alpha. Am I ready to take on that title? It would be like how everything is now. The only difference is that everyone will for sure listen to me. And respect me more than the mutts.
"Are you okay?" Clara asked. I blinked, realizing I was staring at nothing.
"Yeah. Sorry. I was just thinking. I'm fine, princess." I kissed the top of her head. Clara smiled and kissed me. I growled and nipped her lip.
"Easy boy," she said, smiling. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh come on," I whined. Clara laughed. Her laugh was music to my ears.
"Maybe next time, my prince." She started walking away, leaving me alone in the kitchen. I put my head in my hands.
"Parker," someone called.
"What?" I asked. I just wanted to be alone. Carter walked in, with a set of keys he was nervously fumbling with.
"Come on," he said. I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Just come on." I saw a bead of sweat on his forehead. I focused on his heartbeat. It was beating faster than normal.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked, this time I stood up.
"Just for a drive." Carter lied.
"Don't lie to me," I warned. Carter swallowed nervously.
"I-It's your dad." He said.
"What about him? You know I don't like talking about him." Carter dropped his head slightly.
"Parker.. He's. He's dead."
