Parker:
"I'm not really the Luna yet. I will be in 3 months," Clara said. I flipped the pancakes over and the bacon.
"Not 18 yet?" I asked.
"Well you sure are a smart one," Clara said, sarcasm clearly present. I rolled my eyes.
"You shouldn't be speaking to your mate like that," I said, pulling out some plates. I put two pancakes and some bacon on one plate and hand it to Clara. I put three pancakes and the rest of the bacon on my plate.
"I can talk to you however I want," she said, smirking. I rolled my eyes and started pouring syrup on my pancakes. I started eating when Mycroft, a rogue, came in the kitchen and spoke.
"There's someone here who wants to see you," Mycroft said. I sighed and got up. I followed him to the living room when I smelt that familiar scent. Carter.
I turned the corner and sure enough, Carter was standing there. He was gazing out the window. I cleared my throat and he looked at me. Tears were starting to form in my eyes. Carter probably saw them because he came towards me and pulled me into a hug. I didn't pull away from him. I embraced him more. I almost killed him. I put him in a coma and he's still my friend.
We let go of each other after about a minute. We stood there staring at each other. I took in his features. He lip was completely healed. There's a small scar on his eye.
"Carter, I'm sorry. I really am," I said. Carter waved me off.
"No it's okay. I need to start minding my own business anyway," he said. I shook my head.
"No this is not okay. I could have killed you. I put you in a fucking coma!" I yelled. Carter looked confused on the last part.
"A coma? You didn't put me in a coma. Who the hell told you that?" I frowned.
"Xander!" I boomed. Everyone submitted to my power. Everyone except Clara. She walked out of the kitchen to see what was going on. A couple seconds later, I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
"Yes, Parker?" He asked.
"Why the hell did you tell me Carter was in a coma?" I asked.
"Shit," Xander said under his breath, "well I thought it would get you home."
"So you're telling me that, you were told I was in a coma and you didn't bother to come check up on me?" Carter asked. I immediately felt guilty. Carter knew how I worked. He knew the right way to say things. Anywhere from making me mad to calming me down.
"I couldn't. If I did, Jensen would lock me in the dungeon. And you know he would."
"That's his only way to make sure you stay there! He would chain you up to a damn tree just to keep you there! Why didn't you come back?" Carter asked.
"Because I'm tired of being treated like shit! I've had to deal with it for 17 years! I have had enough! I'm not going back either. Why leave this place? Where they treat me like a prince. Hell, I'm the rogue prince after all," I said. I walked over to Clara. "And I have my rogue princess." I kissed Clara and she returned it.
"Oh don't be ridiculous, Parker. These rogues don't give a shit about you. They're only using you for you strength and wisdom. And she's probably the whore that slept around with all of them," Carter said, pointing to Clara. I growled.
"She's my mate. Have some fucking respect," I growled. Clara growled too.
"I could easily rip you to shreds, pup," she said. Carter eyed her.
"We're the same age, you twit."
"That's Luna Clara to you," she said. Carter rolled his eyes.
"You aren't my Luna," he said.
"I still am a Luna!"
"Girls, girls. You're both pretty," I said, interrupting them.
"I'm not pretty. I'm beautiful," Clara said, flipping her hair. Carter chuckled.
"She was definitely made for you, bro." I chuckled and kissed the top of her head.
"Jensen and the rest of the pack are worried about you. Just come back," Carter said. I rolled my eyes. "And the girls at school have been asking about you." Clara growled at the last part. I wrapped my arm around her waist.
"Parker, you need to go home. If something were to happen to Jensen, you need to step up. It's how it works. The younger sibling is the next alpha if the current alpha were to die. And if the alpha didn't have a sibling then the beta would be alpha," Xander said.
"You shut up," I said pointing to Xander. He put his hands up. "Clara is going to be Luna of her pack soon. And she found her mate. I would be running a pack of my own if I decide to go with her."
"I'm sorry, if you decide?" Clara interrupted. I gulped.
"I haven't exactly decided if I want to be the alpha of your pack with you," I said.
"You're coming. I don't want to be away from you. And you'll be the alpha! That's what you've been wanting right?"
"Well not really."
"That's why you're the rogue prince. Because you have control over all of these mutts."
"We're not mutts!" Mycroft shouted.
"Don't yell at me! I rank higher than you! I can call you whatever the fuck I want!" Clara yelled. Mycroft flinched.
'That was hot' Eli said.
'Very.'
"Chill out, Clara," Xander said.
"So tell me how this works. Xander is your guard right?" I asked. Clara nodded. "Why need a guard when you can already kick ass? Also why the hell did he bring you with him?" Clara's face reddened a bit.
"Well you see... Xander had to ask for my permission to leave and find you. I wouldn't let him go but then he told me you were supposedly hot so I just wanted to tag along," she said.
"So am I?" I asked, winking.
"Super hot," she said, whistling.
"Okay, back to you coming home," Carter said.
"Oh yeah. I'm not going back." Carter growled.
"It's my job to bring you back! Now come on. Let's go! Come on boy!" Carter said, whistling at me like a dog.
"Ha ha very funny. I might be a gigantic canine but that doesn't mean I'm just a dog," I said.
"Parker just come on!"
"Why did you come? Hmm? I beat you up. I could have killed you. And you still came. You of all people." I listened to his heartbeat. It picked up a little.
"I volunteered myself," he said, "I knew you didn't really mean to. I know you aren't a killer." His heartbeat was normal, saying the last part.
"You're lying. About volunteering yourself." Carter's heartbeat picked up again.
"Okay so I was picked too."
"Wrong."
"I felt like it was the right thing to do."
"Nope. Try again."
"Fine. No one else wanted to come. Jensen asked everyone. No one did. They were to afraid that you would kill them or beat them," Carter said, his heartbeat normal.
My own pack mates were afraid of me. I nearly killed one of them and they are all terrified of me.
