A/N: I'm so so so so super sorry. I'm super late and it's super short. But I promise promise promise that the next chapter will be up tomorrow, Monday at the very very latest. Promise. I love you :)

I was still grinning like an idiot and giggling a when we got off the bus. The head clash had been embarrassing and very unromantic, but it’d been bloody funny! Brendon kept glancing at me. I don’t think he realised I noticed, because he kept doing it.

On the bus on the way home, we’d sat quietly together, just watching the world pass us through the window. I felt so relaxed that I fell asleep, my face pressed against the window. I woke up with a jolt when I felt the bus come to a stop.

“Sarah, we need to get off the bus soon. Next stop.”

I groaned. “But I’m comfy!” I muttered.

“You can be comfy when you get home. Come on.” He murmured in my ear.

I let him pull me up and we started to walk towards the front of the bus.

The bus came to a stop and I lost my balance, falling into Brendon, knocking him into the wall.

“Oh poo. I’m sorry, Brendon!”

“Don’t worry about it. Come in!” He said, rubbing his head, wincing. He stepped off the bus, pulling me with him by my arm.

We reached my front door and Brendon stopped.

“Spencer’s here. That’s his car.” Brendon pointed at a car parked outside my house. It was so dark now, I couldn’t tell what it was.

“I hope their date went well. They’re so cute together!” I exclaimed, feeling a sleepy giddiness coming on. I couldn’t quite keep my eyes open and the warmth of Brendon’s hand on mine felt lovely.

“We’d better be quiet. They could be kissing” I giggled.

“No, we wouldn’t want to interrupt that.” Brendon said, his warm, sweet breath on my face. The warmth made me close my eyes and hum in contentment. My face was getting warmer. The chill of the night air was being dispelled with the beauty of this moment. I opened my eyes to see Brendon’s eyelids right in front of me. A second later, I felt his lips against mine and my eyes fluttered closed again. It was a soft, sweet kiss. His lips moved against mine and it felt like a dream come true. It was so gentle and innocent and beautiful.

And then suddenly, Brendon pushed me back into the door. His hand came up my back from my waist where it had been resting to be at the back of my neck. He leant against me and ran his tongue across my bottom lip and I opened my mouth in surprise. I hadn’t been expecting this! But I wasn’t going to complain!

I put my hand in his hair, running my fingers through it. He winced when my hand passed over where he’d hit it on the bus. I pulled away. “Sorry!” I cried. Brendon pulled me back to him, pressing his lips back to mine. We kept kissing until suddenly we heard a click and we were falling backwards, Brendon on top of me as we crashed through the doorway, screaming. I looked up and saw Spencer and Lucy stood above me, grinning down at us.

Spencer reached down and pulled Brendon up.

“Come on, bro. We have to get back. We’re leaving in the morning.”

“Yeah, okay. Okay.” Brendon said, looking at me. I smiled at him. I didn’t want to let him leave, knowing I wouldn’t see him again. He was leaving town in a matter of hours and leaving the country in a matter of days.

“Goodbye, Brendon. I really hope you enjoy the rest of your tour. It was really good to meet you.”

“You say that like we’ll never meet again.” Brendon said, smiling.

“Well…”

Suddenly, Lucy dashed past me and launched herself at Spencer.

“Thank you for a wonderful day, Spenny.” She said into his chest. Spencer kissed the top of her head, holding her against him.

“You’ve got my number. This isn’t it. We will keep in touch, beautiful Lucy. Lucy in the sky with diamonds.”

Spencer let her go, turned around and walked out. Brendon gave me one last smile and followed him out, closing the front door behind him. And they were gone.

One day, and my life had been changed for ever.
