Eva's POV
I was on cloud 9 right now. I had a date with Bryson for lunch and a movie date tonight. How the hell did I get so lucky out of all the women in the world. Even though we were going on dates and things like that it was still business. I wasn't into the whole sexual relationship with my boss type of thing. I had morals and most of all respect for myself.
I had no clue what me and Bryson were going to do, but all I know is that I was happy and I was enjoying life right now. Corey was still blinging my hotline and trying to get back in my life. I feel really stupid for calling Corey in the first place, now that was something I had to deal with.
Corey showed up to my job and honestly was talking some crazy shit, something about how he wanted to start a family and start all over again; well he was clearly mistaken. When I do plan on settling down and getting married and having kids, I don't want to be tied to him, I had someone else in mind.
My thoughts were interrupted when Bryson walked through my office door. "Come on its 12. Last time I checked this was a date and your already late". I didn't need to be reminded about how I was always late to things, I obviously knew that.
Instead of objecting I just got up and walked out the door, Bryson following after. I knew he was staring at my butt I just felt it. "Bryson stop staring so hard" I laughed.
"Maybe if you weren't switching so damn hard I wouldn't have to look". Wow, he really just went there.
"I wasn't even switching" I yelled. I couldn't believe he was accusing me of switching, the fuck. I didn't even say anything I was low key hurt by what he said.
We finally arrived to ABC Kitchen on 35 East 18th street. I literally loved this restaurant and I knew he would too. We got situated at our table and ordered waters. "This is a nice little restaurant" he said, I nodded my head in agreement as I scanned the menu.
I was still in my feelings from what he had said earlier so I was kind of silent. I knew he would question me about my silence but until then I'm just not going to speak too much.
"So how did you find this place?" He asked. I just shrugged my shoulders. "Seriously Eva stop with your little attitude. I was joking and you took it all up the ass". I didn't want to start this date off on the wrong foot so I just sucked it up.
"I don't have an attitude Bryson. Lets just forget all about the whole switching thing. We're here on a date let's enjoy it" I said.
"That's what I've been wanting to do this whole time. You're the one that had an attitude". I didn't want to say anything because if I say anything were going to be arguing about who had an attitude, and I didn't want to talk about it anymore.
"Are you ready to order" the lady asked. "No not yet just a few more minutes" I assured her. "Have you decided what your getting" I asked. "Yeah, I'll just settle for the big bacon French burger and fries" I looked at him and froze, that burger was huge and it was $55 but if you finish it in an hour it'll be free.
"Bryson are you going to be able to finish that burger, it's fucking huge".
"I'll try".
The waitress came back and took our orders. "Yes I would like a New York steak with broccoli but with cheese on top and a side of rice pilaf" I told her. "And I would like the big bacon French burger" I couldn't believe he was seriously getting that burger.
"Okay! Anything else that I can get you guys" she asked.
"No, thank you"and with that she was gone. I was just staring at him.
"What?"
"Nothing at all" I said. "Hey Eva can I ask you something." um it depends on what your asking. Knowing you; you might ask me to call you daddy tiller or something. I never know with you Bryson".
"That's actually a good ide-"
"No way! There is no way I'm about to be calling you daddy tiller. Nope".
"But no I wanted to ask you about your family, I know it's not my business but I just was curious. When we talked the other night you didn't mention your family once". I wasn't too keen about talking about my family it just wasn't something I would like to talk about.
"My family is my family. There's nothing too important about them. Um I don't want to talk about them I just-"
"Oh I'm Sorry for asking" he spoke.
"No it's fine Bryson".
The rest of the date went by quick. I ended up having to help him finish the burger which made me sick as hell.
We were walking back to RCA when an unknown number called me. I was hesitant at first but answered it anyway.
"Hello" I said through the phone.
"I can't believe you Eva. You choose that broke ass dude over me. Man fuck you Eva!" Corey yelled.
"Corey are you serious. You really called me with that bullshit. We're not even together anymore get out of here with that shit" I shouted, the whole time Bryson was just staring at me.
"Don't come at me with that shit Eva. I did so much for you and you go and get with that motherfucker".
I couldn't even argue with him anymore. I knew if I pissed him off anymore he would spill everything. Corey never wanted to see me happy, he fucked up my whole life. Soon Bryson was going to find out; I just
needed to be the first to tell him.
Oh my gosh what the heck just happened!
