Chpt. 9~ Be With Me

Jake's POV~

I walked in to the huge highschool. I started getting greeted immediately. Compliments kept flying at me. I just kept saying thank you and so on. As I walked along I saw people huddled around Kate and I just watched her from a distance. Her hair had soft curls. She wore a black skater skirt with a maroon sweater crop top. On the bottom she wore black combat boots and leggings. She looked at me and I could feel my face flush but I couldn't turn away from her. Suddenly all the memories after the game rushed back into me. Her eyes widened and all her feelings were held in her eyes. Her face hardened and I knew what she was thinking and she turned around. Hurt struck me but I plastered on my fake smile and went along with my day. I walked into my Ap History class and looked across the room. She was sitting next to Blake and his posses. Tons of girls offered me their seat and I found an empty one behind Kate. I just don't understand what I did. I did kiss her.... But she kissed back. Ah why did I have to fall for her. I put my head in my hands. I couldn't think straight. I heard Kate answer a question and I just enjoyed listening to her sweet voice.

I felt eyes on me. As I looked up ,my eyes squinted still adjusting but I realized that everybody was getting into groups and Mrs.Walkman was staring at me. " Did you hear me Jake?" She asked quite annoyingly. "Uh no sorry , I missed that." I said with my most convincing face. It worked. " You'll be in a group with Blake, Mase, and Lexi". I nodded and turned and looked at each of them. Kate was with Percy, I glared at him with envy. We all worked nicely in our groups and then headed out towards to lunch. The teacher called me over as everyone was assembling out. "yes?" I asked politely. " You should be paying more attention" Mrs. Walkman said sternly.

"Miss I know, I'm sorry it's just a couple days ago I....had a chemical reaction and now things....are decaying, I guess." I said unsure how to put it. "I see.....a girl?". I nodded. " You better hurry, I saw her take a right" and then she winked at me. I stood a bit confused but then I understood....wait how would she know. It didn't matter I needed to talk to Kate.

I don't even care what happened over the weekend. All I wanted to do was see her, she drives me crazy.

I turned the corner searching the crowds of diverse kids everywhere. Where was she? Then in the very back of the hallway I saw her in a small corner near the REC room.....with a guy.....wait .....him?! Why would she be hanging out with him?! My head was spinning. The guy was...

A/N so sorry for the awful long wait! My normal schedule had been crazy for the last past couple of weeks. Things are now back to normal though. I have some bad news and good news. Let's start with the bad and that is I left you on a cliffhanger. Haha but the good news is it won't be for long because I will be posting 3 more chapters , that's one extra . ;) All for my lovelies.
