Took My Breath Away

Chpt. 1 ~First day of school

*Alarm clock goes off* I groan. Ugh time for the first day of school... Great. Oh sorry forgot to introduce myself my name's Jake I have blue eyes and brown hair. I live in Chicago. I'm into all the sports at my school. I'm not a jock and I actually do well in school. Surprised much? I'm sure. I'm also popular with ladies haha I mean could I blame them. I decide to wear some nice black jeans with a sleak sweater. I pop on some converse and I'm ready to go.

I see people starting to wave for me to come over to them. I nod as I start walking forward I hear a cute but faint laugh and I turn to the direction. I keep staring and before I know it I walk right into a tree.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the Nurse's office

"W-what happened" I ask as my head starts to throb. "Well apparently while you were making googly eyes with a girl you ran into a tree" the nurse explained with a smirk. I stared blankly at her. That girl.... She goes here?!I felt excitement bubble up within me and I got up extremely fast. " Here take some Tylenol before you go", said the nurse. " Alright" I managed to say. I quickly swallowed the pills and speed walked out of the room. I yet again bumped into something but this time it was a girl.... the beautiful one I saw earlier. She giggled and then smiled at me. I just studied her face and body. She had gorgeous blue eyes and  goldenish curly hair that framed her face perfectly. She had a beautiful smile and a perfect face. I couldn't help to notice she was skinny but had all the right curves. Then she moved her hands out. I then looked up. " What?" I asked confused. " You done checking me out?" She said in a sarcastic voice. I could feel my face burning up a bit. What the heck was this girl doing to me. "I'm Jake " I said and gave her my best smile. " Hi Jake, I'm Kate" She said and stuck out her hand. I shaked it and got a warm feeling through my body. "Are you new here?" I asked wondering why I hadn't seen her before. " Oh yeah just moved here from New York.", she said with a a depressing voice. " Can I help you around at all?", I asked a bit to eagerly. " Haha sure, how can I say no to a cute face like that?" She laughed amusingly. Then she surprised me and linked arms and I showed her down the halls to other classes and so on.

" Well aren't you a happy camper?" My mother said gladly. Wow even my mom could tell that I was so happy all because of Kate. That name Kate it's so catchy and pretty. I have to see her again I thought. The second I saw her she took my breath away...I started to drift off to sleep.
