The Date

Jackson's POV

I finally made it home, I'm exhausted. Like to the point where I was ready to cancel my plans with Griffin.
But I knew I needed to get out more, especially if I'm going to be staying with my mom. God knows I can't get along with her for more than a few hours at a time.
I texted my mom to tell her where I was going since she was still not home.
I quickly shower and dress. Brush my teeth and send some directions to Griffin. Many times. I'm talking close to twenty minutes of me explaining how to get to my house and him replying 'huh?'

He eventually got here. On his bike. This will be TOTALLY safe.
I tell him I'm ready to go and I get on the pegs of his bike and grab his waist.
Is that appropriate? Is this a date? Is Griffin gay? I doubt all of it honestly. But like I said I could use a friend and an excuse to get away from my mom's house.

We finally get to the cinema and and pick a movie and some snacks and go into the theater. And there is no one else there, like Griffin and I are the only people.
So we pick the best seats and sit through the previews. Eating most of the snacks.

After the movie starts I realize it was a scary movie, and I literally can't handle scary movies. In the worst way. I'm talking like screaming at the screen and nightmares. This is definitely going to be very interesting.
I hope Griffin won't think I'm a wuss. Last thing I need is for the whole school to think I'm a wuss.

I managed to keep my cool throughout the movie. The only thing is that I kept looking over at Griffin, he's much more attractive than what I had first noticed. But that at least kept me distracted from the movie.
Walking out of the cinema I realized how late it was. The movie was close to three hours, though my mom hadn't called or anything.

"So what did you think?" Griffin asked me.

"Honestly? I'm kinda spooked"

"Yeah me too, you hungry?"

"Starved!" I yell laughingly. I was relieved to know I wasn't the only one spooked by that damn movie.

"You wanna go back to my place for something to eat?"

"Sure" I say after a long pause. At first I was nervous, but I was having fun with Griffin and didn't want to be home alone after that movie.

"Let's go then" he said with a huge grin.
