Jackson's POVWe get on his bike and ride through the night. It had gotten a little chillier. But I had brought a hoodie just in case. I know how lame that sounds but that's how I think.
It's getting around 9 and I still hadn't heard from my mom, I mean I'm having a good time and all but its weird without her breathing down my neck. Its nice to have a bit of freedom. After maybe half an hour we arrive a Griffin's place. It's a squat pale blue sided house. One story, plus a attic maybe.
When we get in the place is very neat and clean, Griffin wandered the hallways and came back to the living room."My mom isn't home. Cool. " he laughs "go ahead sit down, get comfortable. Me casa es su casa"
I couldn't help but laugh at him.
I ploped down on the couch and stretched my legs onto the coffee table.
Griffin sat down next to me and clicked the television on."You wanna order some Chinese food?" He asked
"I love Chinese food"
"Then its settled, Chinese food. Let's do it." He sets the television remote in my lap "go ahead and put something on, I'll go order the food"
Griffin wandered into the kitchen with his phone and I scan the channels for something good
I really can't find anything so I just leave it on some channel and just rest until Griffin comes back in."The food will be like twenty minutes" then he throws himself onto the couch. Landing with his legs draped across mine. "Whatcha watching?"
"Not sure, I just flipped it to some random channel. There's nothing good on."
"How about a DVD? You know those do still exist."
"Sure what do you have?" Griffin stands and goes to a bookcase in the corner of the room.
"We got ah. Some Austin Powers movies, uhm. Serial mo-"
"Serial mom!?!" I cut him off "that's my favorite movie like EVER.
"Me too. Serial mom it is." He walks over to the television stand and put the movie in and lays back down, his legs over my lap again.
After maybe five minutes my phone vibrates. I slide it out of my back pocket.
It's a text from my mom. She's in another city on business or some shit. She's probably with a guy or something. She asked if I would ask to stay at Griffin's since I'm already there. I really wouldn't mind."Hey Griffin, my mom just texted and asked if I could stay the night here since she's out of town on 'business'" I said with air quotes
"Well sure, I have no problem with it. Sounds like fun"
Then the door bell rang.
"That must be the food" he hops up.
