The Dance was in four hours and I was so nervous and excited, I was so sure that I was going to hurl. Thankfully, I didn't.
Ruby and Jessie and I were getting ready with a couple of encouraging words.
I got dressed into my star dress and metallic gold shoes and matched them with a star charm bracelet and star earrings. Ruby gave me shimmering Gold eyeshadow and did my eyeliner with a thick wing on the edge. My curly hair was slightly teased, giving it more volume before I put it back into a high, poufy ponytail. I was the stars.
Ruby wore a bright red and black striped blazer and pencil skirt with a black shirt underneath and a pair of black boots. She also wore a bright red lipstick and had her pair in a low bun with strands of hair framing her face. She was a wealthy tycoon woman.
Jessie wore a beautiful baby blue dress that had flowers over the skirt. Her thick hair had two braid meeting in the back and had many flowers where they met. She was a flower girl.
Jane had stopped by to take some photos for the student newspaper. We all pouted, smiled, winked and goofy posed for the cameras. The boys had come over and greeted us.
"Just in time for couple photo's!" Ruby squealed and grabbing Hunter's hand and pulling him along to the window for a perfect 'wallpaper'. Hunter was wearing a black and dark green blazer with black dress trousers and a black button-up shirt that had the top buttons undone. He wore black dress shoes and had some fake money coming out of his pockets. He and Ruby were the Tycoon Couple. They were perfect as always.
They posed with serious faces and poses but then slowly became more goofy and eventually ended up romantic. Hunter would carry Ruby Bride style as she planted a Red kiss mark on his cheek. He decided to keep it on there all night.
I looked over at Reed to see him enjoying it as much as Jessie and I was. He was dressed up as a hipster. He wore slightly ripped jeans, converses, and a charcoal coloured dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a wash out orange vest. His matched it all with a pair of thick framed glasses and a grey beanie. I wasn't very familiar with the term 'hipster', but I think I sort of got one just by looking at him.
His eyes glided over my outfit and he nodded. "Nice costume" he said.
"You too. Nice glasses" I returned. I quickly swiped off his glasses and put them on me. It only took him a second to realise what I had done. "And now they're mine."
He chuckled and stuffed his hands into his pockets. "Well now they suit you."
I blushed. "They must be magical glasses if they suit anyone and everyone."
"Must be or it must be just you." I blushed again. His flirt game was strong but it was obvious. Almost too obvious.
I quickly gave Reed his glasses back before Jane started to snap some pictures of everyone together. Near the end, I started to insist that we have a huge group selfie with Jane in it. We all smiled until one by one, we started to pull faces and be total fools. Ruby lifted her leg up onto Jessie's side, exposing her leg. Jessie played along as they both put their hands over their mouths shocked. Hunter was posing with his tongue out next to Ruby's face and Jane was pouting and going cross eyed as she help up the camera. Reed and I were practically hanging off each other.
"Three, two..." On one, Reed flipped his head and planted a kiss on my cheek and my eyes went wide as soon as the flash went. I was still shocked and dazed once it was over.
"Well that was a surprise" he said quietly. I smirked at him and bit my lip.
"And how long have you waited to do that for?" I asked cheekily.
