~5~

After we have breakfast, we began to run around the island and steal things to improve our mini house. We put more blankets everywhere and more cookie facilities.

Once the day was over, we both sat on the roof of the warehouse and looked up at the stars with bowls of noodles. It was a truly beautiful night; the sky was clear and the island was quiet. People had put up colourful lights down the main road that day and cleaned up the road that it now looks spotless. It was very suspicious because normally it was clean but not this clean.

"I wonder why they are suddenly cleaning this place up" I said to Carlos. He slurped up some of his noodles and nodded at the stars.

"I've been wondering that too. Before we... ran away" he said. "It was clean but now, it's cleaner than it's ever been."

I couldn't help but agree. I thought he would have something to do with it because his mother is part of the villainous four, but he really did know nothing.

Looking at him, I gave a smile. "But change is good... I think."

His hand found mine and squeezed it. "All we can do is cross our fingers" he assured. I smiled at him and rested my head on his shoulder and looked up. The conversation and the thoughts were running through my head, making me oblivious to the creaking behind.

Suddenly, hands wrapped around my waist and covered my mouth. I tried to scream, but it was muffled by big, dusty hands. I tried to look over to Carlos, but he was in the same position. He was trying to fight back but he had two massive men holding onto him. He must've been hard to contain.

He were dragged back and flung over their shoulders before the climbed down the side of the roof and onto the ground. I tried to reach for my voodoo doll, but his hold on me was strong.

They carried Carlos and me along dark alleys to a large house at the end of the main street. I looked over at Carlos whose eyes were the size of tennis balls and his face was whiter than snow. Clearly he knew this place. They took us through the large doors to a room with a couch, an old fridge and a big table with 4 miss-matching chairs.

They forced us onto the chairs and placed their hands on our shoulders and glared at us to scar us from running. In the end, it worked, I sat still as stone.

"CARLOS!" I voice screeched. I jumped in my seat and looked at the archway where the voice came. Walking in was a tall woman with curly hair and a white stripe in it. She was black and white trousers with a fur scarf wrapped around her neck. Her outfit was very similar to Carlos'.

Looking between them, I saw their similarities – eyes, chin, ears, and hair colour. It could only be one answer – this is Cruella De Vill; Carlos' mother.

She rushed over to Carlos and started muttering things to him. His face was plain but I could feel his agitated aura. Remembering his past, it could finally all fit in now that I know his mother.

"Mum! Stop, why did you bring me here?" he asked, making his mother back off and look at him.

"She didn't" a voice said. I looked over to a door that led to a balcony to see a tall figure in a cloak and had horns. "I did." She finally walked more into the light and my heart stopped. The woman with her piercing green eyes and her hollow cheeks and the tall sceptre smiled wickedly and Carlos and me.

This was the villains of all villains and she's right in front of me. It was Maleficent. With her presence, it felt like I couldn't breathe. Although all her magic is gone, she could still be evil and scary enough. Rumours used to go around that people would mysteriously go missing and were never found again. The blame was always on her, but no one was brave enough to face her.

"Why did you bring us here?" Carlos asked.

She gave a warm, yet sly smile, my way before a figure came out from the same door behind her. The man was tall and familiar, like I saw in down the street or in my dreams. But once in focus, my face went pale.

"Dad?" I asked. He gave a small sincere yet sly, nod in my direction.

"Hello piper" he said. My heart stopped as he said those words. Was he not going to yell at me? Or curse me off to a more God forbidding land?

"Now, Carlos and Piper, we have made a plan" maleficent said, making me peel my eyes away from my dad's stern look. "Since you two are... close. Then we must interfere."

"Interfere? What do you mean by 'interfere'?" Carlos challenged.

Giving a small chuckle, maleficent looked carefully at Carlos. "With the help from the Auradon future heir by chance, you will both go to school in Auradon for a second chance, along with my daughter Mal and Evie and Jay. There you will go to school for a second chance."

The idea didn't sound good. I've always dreamed of going to a place where there is unlimited Wi-Fi and magic and a place where I can make millions of friends, but plan sounded too suspicious.

Carlos looked at me with a smile. "At least we can go together" he said with hope. Just that comment made me feel like luck may just be on our side.

Maleficent gave another evil cackle and looked at our innocent faces. "No you won't be."

Suddenly, big, chubby hands grabbed my arms and shoulders and heaved me up onto my feet. The men pulled me along out the doors as adrenalin pumped through my veins and alarms went off in my head.

Outside was a black car that was long, but smaller than a limo. The door was opened by a polished man in a grey suit who had the Auradon crest on his shirt.

"Carlos? Dad? What happening? Carlos! CARLOS!" I screamed. I kicked around and tried to get myself free. I didn't want to go somewhere new with crazy people who I didn't know! The idea was... was undeniably horrible!

The men pushed me into the car along with one of my bags that had some of my clothes in it. The door slammed closed and was locked. I banged on the windows and screamed. I could hear Carlos yelling out for me as well, but it was only feint. The window opened to show my father's demanding face but his eyes glowed with evil.

"Piper Marie Facilier, you are going to Auradon without Carlos. You are stay away from him otherwise I'll lock you away in your own mind and body, with no ability to move or talk, just like what I did to your mother."
