17 years before the Twilight Crisis....

King Bulbin was taking over Arbiter's Grounds, just like his master told him to. It was mid day, the sun was boiling the Gerudo Desert. With each brisk of wind, small storms of sand would ride the desert dunes.

King Bulbin put his bulbin goblins to work. They heeded over trees from Faron forest all the way to the Desert Province. Other bulbins brought gallons upon gallons of water from Lake Hylia. The new hideout was coming together beautifully.

An amber orb appeared and shattered into King Bulbin's master's face.

The face of Ganondorf.

"You have complete the task I demanded. Thank you, my ally " Ganondorf continued "I have one final task for you"

The king nodded back

"You must kill the Hero of Time, and his son who will become the Hero of Time if something is not done about him. They are heading to the Temple of Time. If they reach the temple before you can kill them, you will fail me and pay for this defeat with your life. Now go they are already in the Edlin Province. "

The amber face dissolves into flakes of embers. King Bulbin nodded and rode away to the Hero of Time. His war hog, Lord Bulbo, rode hard, leaving deep imprints of his hooves in every gallop. Dusk had fallen.

The King was able to catch up with The Hero of Time, along with his wife and child.  The wife of the Hero was the first to scream and the first dead. She was granted death by the King's deadly arrow.

The woman hit the floor, her strains of hair were spread around her forming a halo. Even in death, she held her child in her arms tightly and lovely.

The King dodged the Hero and headed for the child next. The Hero slashed his sword towards him, making the King only slice a blade of dirty blonde hair of the child. The King placed the blade of hair in his a pocket. "Where is your faithful sword, Hero?"

"She rests where she belongs" He whispered "Without my other items that I have carefully hidden around Hyrule I will not be able to defeat you.

A fatal blow.

The Hero of time was dead.

But the Hero left deep wounds on the King's body. He couldn't kill the child before the villagers he heard in the distance coming.

In disgrace, he left to the Arbiter's Grounds. Ganondorf's face appeared again.

"King Bulbin, you half completed my task. instead of death, I shall grant you one last chance, with another task. You have something that will help us take down the new Hero."

The King had a bewildered look. There was no weapon the King had that could possibly kill the Hero so easily.

"Take out the strand of the boy's hair"

The King was astonished, why the hair?

The King tightly held the thin blade of dirty blonde hair. Ganondorf commenced his dark powers. The blade of hair then glistens with an amber coat. The same amber-colored magic the face of Ganondorf was in. The blade levitated in the sky, lighting the black night over the Gerudo Dessert.  Ganondorf opened his mouth wide. A black portal opened inside, black ooze slipped out of his mouth and into the blade of hair. It was changing its form.

The blade of hair turned into a child.

The child looked identical to the child of the Hero. But its skin was black, its hair white, and eyes red.

"Take care of this child, raise our Hero of Shadows. Train him to kill and hate the Hero of Time. I must go, I used too much magic. Goodbye"  He dissolved once again into fire embers.

The King held the child close.

The Era of the world of Shadows had begun.
