Two Year Later-Reach Military Wilderness Training Preserve, Planet Reach 2519 0630 Hours~Daniel's P.O.V.~

We were 8 now. I...we've been through a lot. All the training and the hard work. John even became better than all of us. Standing for what's right. It was amazing. Even James started to look up to him. Trying to be similar like John. But the difference is their thinking. How they think. How to solve the situation.

But I am just good with engineering. More good with battle strategies, vehicles, and pick locking. I lost my train of thought when Chief Mendez called 117 AKA John, to go first.

Crap did he already debrief. I looked around and Sam whispered something to a kid next to him. Than that kid whispered something to Kelly. And so on so on. Until it got to me. "Meet at the river."

I nodded and whispered to Toria. "Meet at the river." She nodded also.

She was the last one to send the message to. One by one everyone was being called out to jump out of the pelican. I watched all, until I was called up. "289 your up!" he barked.

"Yes sir!" I chanted getting up to the edge of the line, waiting for the hatch to open.

"The light is green. Go." He said to me. When the hatch open.

I jumped out. It actually wasn't bad at all just a few feet and boom ground. I stood up and looked around. "Alright so the plane moved about 20 degrees North to where John was dropped off which was about..." I started to calculate it in my head. "Ok so this way it is."

It was snowy, I could hear my foot crunch the fresh snow. Looking around again the trees were beautiful with the snow on them. I breathed in taking the fresh air. It felt nice feeling the icy cold in my lungs. It always brought back faint memories of home.

I shook my head than started to concentrate on what's on hand here. This is Chief Mendez's test. But what was the twist of it? Maybe ravaging wolves ready to devour us? Or maybe marines ready to take a jump on us? It could be many of things.

I remembered the last time one of these 'tests' were. Few kids got hurt because of it. Even killed one. Just cause we didn't get the twist of it.

So now I have to fig...a branches cracked right than. I looked over my shoulder quickly and saw nothing. "Hey don't get that jumpy rabbit." I heard someone say in front of me. I turned quickly and saw it was Rebeka.

I chuckled and punched her arm. "Don't do that!" I yelled.

She chucked rubbing her arm. She and Kelly were always the sneaky ones and fast. Had to admit Kelly was faster than her but Rebeka, she could sneak around a whole squad before taking them down one by one. And still not get caught by anyone.

"Baby." She said walking to the river. "We are all waiting for you."

Waiting for me? Of course. I walked beside her looking at everyone. She lead us to James. He was folding his arms watching John, Kelly, and Sam knelt down to a map.

"What's going on?" I asked looking at them.

James didn't say anything than shook his head turning his head to me. "They are figuring out were the extraction point is. Plus John is figuring out how to get all of us back without one walking home."

"What?" I asked confused.

Toria rolled her eyes. "Didn't you listen through the debriefing?"

I shook my head. "No."

Jake patted my back. "Same kinda zoned out."

Toria shook her head waving her hand. "If the last person to make it on the extraction point gets to walk home."

Walk home?! What?! That's 10,000 miles away. Probably less but a very long way to walk! "What?" I whispered in shock.

"Yep! But of course John won't leave anyone of us behind." James said turning back to John and his team, they all stood up.

"Alright it's that way. Come on." John said leading the way.

We all followed him step by step. It seemed like it was forever of listening to the snow, kids whispering, and the wind blowing. Until John stopped us. "I heard something. Blue team come with me."

I watched as Blue Team leave with him to scout. "So why does Blue Team always get the intense part?" Rebeka asked whispering.

"Can it. John has the leadership skills. Plus can get us out of situations better than you can." Toria stated. Being blankly too honest.

James shook his head. "Sometimes. Some of his strategies seem wrong, to slow, but it does hold for a while. I'll give him that."

"That's called patience." I commented.

He sharply turned his head and glared. I put my hands up. "Hey easy there killer, member genius?" I pointed at my head.

Jake chuckled. "He is smarter than us." He pointed with his thumb.

I put my arms out and 'presented' Jake. "Thank you Jake."

"No prob..."

"Alright guys we have a situation," John said coming out with only Linda and Fred. Everyone looked at him. "We have two targets, they aren't wearing our military uniforms, but they are at the extraction point." I looked over at Jake than back at John. "But Sam is going to draw them out and Kelly will give us a signal to come out," he bent down grabbing a pebble. "Than we throw these at them."

I looked at him thinking about it. Ok so we draw them out, but how we can't just yell...duh they are going to yell for help. We are kids they are going to check if we are ok. Now that's a good plan. Everyone picked up couple of pebbles and jogged with John to where Sam was.

We got into position, hiding behind trees, rocks, and even in bushes. We all waited until we could hear Sam's horrible impression of an owl. Than we all threw the pebbles. Hitting the man in the temple. The other man came up and we threw more pebbles at him.

"Alright to the plane now!" John yelled.

We all ran to the extraction point. John waited outside of the plane than getting on after everyone was on. I watched as John asked Déjà to put it on autopilot and take us back home.

Now I wondered how in the hell will John explain to Mendez, about the last man? I know that every single person in here is my family so if one goes down. Everyone goes down.
