i knew the moment I heard his voice that it was the coffee shop boy. "You work in the coffee shop around the corner, don't you" he asked but it came out more as a statement because he probably recognized me too. "Yeah" i mumbled shyly. The last thing I needed was for him to tease me too. "I'm Luke" he said. Luke, the name fits him. "Katie" I replied a little more confidently. "How long have you worked in the coffee shop for" he asked. Why was he asking so many questions? "Not long, I started before the summer so about 5 months." I said softly. "Don't be shy Katie, it's okay, I don't bite" he chuckled softly. Luke has a cute laugh I thought. "I'm not confident Luke and it's not so easy to be" I said sadly, tears brimming my eyes again. I went to change the topic, anything so I wouldn't cry. "So Luke how long have you lived here" "about 5 years, it's beautiful here" Luke replied smiling. I finally arrived at the shop with the boy who I now know as Luke. "So my shift begins, I'm assuming you want your usual" I asked Luke, my heart hammering in my chest, I barely know him, but he's so beautiful. "Yes please, Katie" he winked at me causing a million butterflies to erupt in my stomach. In 5 minutes I had lukes drink on the counter for him. But the whole time I couldn't help but notice him writing something.
