Jeremy's been ignoring me for three days now. I guess not letting him kiss me really, really ticked him off. If that wasn't enough he completely ignored me and made sure I saw him hanging around with different girls every time I looked at him. The bruise on my face turned green, an ugly type of green with a little bump.
I explained to Jake what happend minus the part where me and Jeremy fought afterwards. But I told him it's not Jeremy's fault he has horrible aim, it was an accident.
"Alice are you listening to anything I've been saying?" Jane snaps a finger in front of my face and I look at her.
"Yeah I am" I stated while picking at the lunch we were eating. It looks like a green pile of shi-
"Then what did I just say huh?" She questions with humor laced in her voice.
"You said how you wanted to do that one thing" I said extremely low. She only raises her eye brows at me and smirks. "Okay fine I wasn't listening sorry" I raise my hands up in defense.
Jane has been my friend since 3rd grade. She sat next to me at recess and flicked her burger at my face and I tackled her to the floor and since then we've done almost everything together.
"I was saying that maybe you and Jeremy should just break up. You two fight a lot." She shrugs her shoulders and I only stay quite looking at my finger nails. "I know you don't want to be-"
"I care for him. And he loves me I can't just up and leave though. Then what? It's fine honestly every couple fights"
"Yeah every couple fights but not as much as you two. It's toxic and who's to say he loves you?" She harshly says. Her eyes widen at her words before she realizes what she said and coughs softly. "All I'm saying is I don't want to see you get hurt"
"And I won't. Thank you for caring but we'll fix it" I mumble before the bell rings. I pick up my bag before she can say something and head to English.
I keep my eyes on the floor. Until too many people come into view that I look up so I won't trip or bump into anyone. In the corner of my eyes I see Jeremy walking with a girl. I roll my eyes and keep my focus to straight ahead. As I'm about to enter the door a body slams into my side and I turn to see that guy from 3 days ago. The one that got into a fight with Jeremy.
His pale green eyes stare into mine for a while. He furrows his eyebrows and keeps a little distance but a curious look on his face. The tension in the air becomes to thick and it's me who looks away. I mumble a soft sorry before walking towards the door my class is in.
I take my seat and stare out the window. A big tree stands in the middle of the patchy grass. Everything looks so calm no noise is heard from outside only the talking of kids in the class from the inside. The chair being pulled on the side of me snaps me out of starring at the tree swaying side to side. I look over and see the boy with the messy curly hair.
"Had to change my classes because it was conflicting with baseball" he says. Although he isn't talking to me, he's talking to the boy with the blonde hair and to big of a smile. Niall. The boy only nods his head and says something back that I can't quite hear.
"Okay listen up kiddos I hope you all got your copy of The Raisin In The Sun." Mr.Chat says. He holds up the book that I've read about 5 times already. "Now the first ten minutes of class will be reading the book because by the end of the week there will be a paper writing about it." The class goes silent after that.
I try focusing on the book I really do but I can't. The words won't stick in my head I keep reading the line over and over again but nothing. It's all just jumbled together. I walk up to Mr.Chat and ask to go to the bathroom where he rolls his eye but agrees.
