CHAPTER 6 : GIRLFRIEND, BOYFRIEND"Hey there," said Yunho, slipping his large hand into my small one. A serene smile graced his lips as his sparkling eyes looked me straight in the eye.
"Hi," I replied, feeling the warmth as he rubbed my knuckled with his thumb.
"So, I was thinking that maybe I could make up for that last date?" he asked as he ran his spare hand through his hair.
"Are you asking me out on a date?" I giggled.
"Only if you say yes," Yunho said cheekily with the cutest smirk on his face and shot me a charming wink. How could I ever say no?
"Yes," I smiled shyly and looked up at him beneath my eyelashes.
"That's awesome! Okay, I'll pick you up tomorrow at midday," he grinned happily and pecked me on the cheek. He released my hand to my disappointment and started to walk to his next lesson. I smiled as he clicked his heels together, he was adorable.
"By the way, wear warm clothes and don't ask why!" he turned and yelled from down the hall and disappeared when he turned left.
Warm clothes? Wonder why...
♫
As I made myself comfortable in my armchair and propped the toes onto the glass table where I had just laid my cup of herbal tea. One row of toes had already been painted pink but I just had to do the other foot. I was casually wearing a loose, black singlet and some track suit shorts as I had plenty of time to get geared up for my date this afternoon. Just as I polished off the pinky toe I heard rapid knocks on the door.
My head shot up to where my apartment door was with my eyes wide. It couldn't be Yunho already, could it?
I looked at the time on my wristwatch and it was eleven o'clock. If it was Yunho then he was definitely eager. I screwed the nail brush back onto the jar and jumped up from the chair on my heels.
"I'll be right there!" I shouted as I quickly ran into the laundry. I sorted through my basket of clean clothes and decided to wear my tattered jeans, a white, long-sleeve sweater under my white, snow jacket and my favourite caramel ugg boots. I quickly grabbed my grey beanie with a pom pom on the top and shoved it on my head as I skidded to the front door.
"Hello!" I exclaimed with a wide smile when I opened the door to see a bundled up Yunho. He was standing there with a puffy black jacket on and black jeans with a scarf wrapped around his neck and a beanie with ear-flaps. In his gloved hands he held a small box wrapped with pink paper
"Hi, can I come in?" he asked as I placed a small kiss on his soft cheek.
"Of course, make yourself at home," I opened the door wider for him to come in. He straight away sat on the couch and I plonked myself next to him.
"Here, I thought I'd get something for you to commemorate our first date as an official couple," he mumbled and I could see slight pink tinting his cheeks. He held out the rectangular box with a cute purple ribbon tying it together.
"Oh, I didn't get you anything," I gasped, feeling guilty.
"No, no, this was my choice to get you a gift," he smiled eagerly waiting for me to open it. I untied the violet ribbon and carefully unwrapped the pink tissue paper and opened the box lid to find an adorable pair of knitted light blue gloves. The tips were fingerless and there was a pretty blue bow on the back of the glove. I absolutely loved them. I beamed at Yunho who looked at me with eager eyes and I quickly slipped them on.
"I love them!" I embraced him into a tight hug and have him a quick kiss on the lips. Then, admired my new gloves a little more.
"Thank gosh. I was worried that you might not like them, I'm glad. Well, let's go then!" he exclaimed, taking my hand and started to drag me out of the door.
