CHAPTER 7: THE PARTY PLACE

When I walked into the cafeteria I was hit with that familiar musky scent. Gosh, I loved this place and I have no idea why. Maybe, it was the crisp smell of food that lingered or the warm aura of the whole place when filled with people. But, I knew there was one reason why I loved cafeterias so much. The food.

As I walked over towards my friends I was surprised to find my friend, Sun sitting comfortably in Baek Jo's lap. He whispered something into her ear and she threw her head back to laugh as she placed her hand on his chest. Now, what was going on here?

I sat down next to Yunho and slid my tray onto the table with my eyebrow raised. I looked at Min Ah, as usual she was delved into her book but she looked up at me and rolled her eyes towards the love birds. Yuri looked at me also and shook her head while looking at the couple.

When I cleared my throat Sun jumped off of Baek Jo's lap in surprise and sat in her chair, flustered. Carefree, Baek Jo slung his arm around Sun's shoulders and she blushed wildly.

"So?" I waggled my eyebrows, "what's going on here?"

"Well um-" Sun started nervously but Baek Jo interrupted.

"We're dating," I saw that cocky smile of his. I raised my eyebrow in disbelief and then looked to Sun to confirm.

"We are," she looked at him admirably and my jaw dropped.

"Well, I need to go to the toilet, girls, join me?" I suggested between my gritted teeth, that message between girls meant 'we need to talk, now.'

Yunho rolled his eyes and Baek Jo snickered. I ignored them and walked to the restroom accompanied by my three friends. It was time to turn the tables, I was always the one being asked questions now it's her turn. As soon as the door closed the interrogation begun.

"Sun... Why are you dating him?" I sighed, good friends do not let their friends date jerks, it's just the rules.

"You don't know him like I do, he's sweet," she smiled at the the thought of him.

"Darling, we all know him. He is far from sweet," my friends nodded in agreement.

"I second that," Yuri and Min ah spoke.

"Girls.... please, I like him. Don't take that away from me. I'll learn from my mistakes if this doesn't go well," she sighed looking disheartened. I could see that she was telling the truth and I didn't want to make her unhappy by trying to break the up so I just went with it.

"Fine, now spill, who popped the question?" I questioned with a smile on my face.

"Him..." she blushed. I've never seen her like this, she's always the confident, bossy one.

"Tell us all about it."

"So, Baek Jo invited me to his friend's party, I think we should all go!" Sun whispered to all of us in the middle of English class (no one was paying attention anyway). Which mind I say that it was the only class we all had together.

"Girls!" seonsaengnim (teacher) Lee called out strictly.

"Sorry, seonsaengnim!" we all chimed together with the most angelic, innocent smiles plastered onto our lips. As soon as she looked away we started to talk again.
