CHAPTER 8: CONTRACTED

"Ugh," I groaned, "why? Why?" I banged my hands on the table swiping all the textbooks off the table in frustration. All my girlfriends were over at my house as usual. We usually come to my house because one, I was the closest to the city, Min Ah and Yuri lived near the sea and two, I was home alone, Sun's parents were particular strict about guests coming over so we didn't even bother.

"Come on, Seo. Studying won't kill you," remarked Min Ah.

"Easy for you to say, you're smart! What do you know? Stress can kill! Especially if I commit suicide from all this homework!" I slumped in my seat and dropped my head onto the table, "I thought we'd be dancing and singing all day, not studying and doing exams."

"I totally agree with Seo. Let's go shopping or something, stuff studying!" Sun agreed as she grabbed my wrist standing up.

"Wait! Come on, these exams are important, if you don't study you won't get good results. These exams go to whether you are contracted!" Yuri pleaded.

"Yuri, they don't care whether you're smart or not, it's all about the looks," Sun sneered and flicked her brunette hair.

"Come on girls, break it up," I hated fights and I knew this was getting pretty heated. Yuri meant no wrong but Sun always seemed to get a bit touchy. "I say, we study for a couple more hours," I directed this at Yuri and Min ah as they smirked triumphantly but Sun crossed her arms and puffed," and then we'll go for a spot of shopping later." I directed this at Sun and her look of defeat faded.

"We can always count on you to sort things out!" Min Ah exclaimed, patting me on the back as I sat back into my chair.

Two hours later of studying and all of our heads were going to explode even Min Ah's. We were all resting heads on the table with pencils in hands which were slowly leaving our grip.

"I think my brain just burnt out," Sun groaned her voice muffled by the table.

"Can we go shopping now?" Yuri asked completely defeated. We all groaned and slowly stood up.

"I'll call the boys to see if they want to join us at the mall. Maybe, we can see a movie together," as soon as I said that Sun's eyes lit up probably thinking of Baek Jo.

"Hey, what about I call them and you grab us all a drink of water?" asked Sun innocently but I knew she had an ulterior motive.

"Sure," I gave in, what did it matter anyway? I walked into the kitchen and filled four glass cups with peach tea. I placed them into a plastic tray and balanced it on my forearm as I walked back into the lounge room and placed the tray onto the table.

"Thank you, I love you!" Min Ah jumped on me giving me a bear hug and I laughed. We all quickly chugged down our tea while Sun was calling Baek Jo.

"He said they'll be able to make it if we watch Man of Steel with them," Sun said excitedly. So with that we dragged ourselves to my car and drove into the city. We met the boys in front of the cinema where we ordered tickets, drinks, popcorn and snacks. Finally, we sat down in the middle of the theatre in the comfortable red, seats. I sat next to Yunho, Baek Jo sat next to Sun and Min Ah and Yuri sat together.

"Hey, sweetheart," Yunho whispered in my ear making me blush at the sound of his low, husky voice.

"Looking forward to the movie?" I asked as he played with my hair.
