*Lauren's POV*

"Look at this baby!" I kneel down in front of a fenced-in cage, and stick my fingers through to the little puppy on the other side. Immediately the puppy starts frantically licking my fingers, making my heart swoon.

"Is it a girl or a boy?" I look up at the shelter worker who is walking Hannah and I around.

"It's a girl. She's only a couple months old. We rescued her from a puppy mill." The old woman smiles down at me, and I look back at the little brown puppy.

"Do you mind if I take a picture of her?" I stand up and ask the woman.

"Not at all." She replies, bending down and picking up something off the dirt ground.

I pull out my phone and quickly snap a picture of the adorable little puppy and send it to Harry.

Immediately I feel my phone vibrate with his response.

*Harry- She's adorable, but are you sure about getting a dog? They are so much work. I think you need to think about it more and then go back. *

I hand my phone to Hannah showing her the text.

"That's true, he does have a point. I love my dog to death but he is a pain in the arse." She hands me back my phone. "And I have John to help me."

John is Hannah's boyfriend. They've been dating for awhile now and practically live together.

"I guess he's right. We’re here now though.” I whine, bending back down and looking at the puppy. “I want her!”

“Waiting would be smarter. I mean what if management decides to let you go to the U.S?” Hannah bends down next to me and sticks her fingers in the cage for the puppy to lick.

“Fine.  I’ll wait until Harry’s home, then he can come shopping with me." I sigh and look at the little puppy that is rolling around on the floor playing with a toy. "Get me out of here before I crack and buy every dog in the building."

An hour later I am walking in the front door of my parent’s house. I pull my sunglasses off and walk into the kitchen, getting a glass out of the cabinet to fill with water.

"Lauren is that you?" I hear my mom call from somewhere else in the house.

"Yes mum!" I shout before gulping down the water and flipping through the stack of magazines that are lying on the counter. I snort at a magazine with the boys faces on it and flip it over.

"No puppy?" My mum appears in the doorway wearing a nice dress and looking all done up.

"Nope, second thoughts. And mum you look great! Where are you going?" I grin at her when she looks down at her dress, as if double checking what she is wearing.

"Out for drinks with some friends. I won't be gone late. Are you going to stay here again?"

"No, I think I'll probably go home."  I respond, leaning against the counter and playing with my hair.

"Break’s starting in a couple days, and then you won’t be alone. If you need me just call." My mum says, walking over and kissing my cheek.

"Thanks mum. Have fun." I hug her smiling.

I decide I will go back to my flat and busy myself. Maybe bake a little and watch some movies. The fact that everyone would be on a break in a couple days is enough to put me in a good mood.

*Harry's POV*

"How much longerrrrrrr?" Louis groans, pretending to hit his head against the wall of his bunk.

I laugh and Louis stops to smirk at me. "I need to get off this bus!"

"Well you can't." I tell him, and start tossing my apple in the air and catching it.

“My legs are so stiff, I need to get outside and run!” Louis rolls off his bunk and starts doing squats in the aisle.
