we knew it would be hard
Calum and Noelle hadn't been talking much besides a few text. Noelle was preparing for a funeral and when she wasn't at college she had other things to do. She was not in a good psychological place and she didn't have the energy to even send a text.
Calum had been touring, visiting family, doing interviews, writing new songs and enjoying every minute of it. He never seemed to have the time to text her. He wanted to but things were hectic. He missed her more and more everyday.

Noelle had been having a tough time. She didn't have anyone to tell about how she wasn't coping. She knew Calum was busy with his tour and how happy he was doing it. She knew that her brother already had so much to deal with, that she would feel guilty if she hassled him. Her best friend was on holiday and looking at universities and she was pretty much Noelle's only friend.
She needed Calum. She needed Calum to hug her and be there for her but he was thousands of miles away and it was killing her.
