Chapter Three:
I have finally resorted to pacing back and forth in my room. All these thoughts are going through my mind right now. Is it Cayden? Why is he not answering me back? I mean come on it has been exactly three minutes now!
Sighing I throw myself onto my bed, "I have become a crazy, hysterical teenager over a text message! Geez, what’s wrong with me?" I said out loud to myself, not caring if my mom heard me. She knows I’m a little crazy anyways. Out the corner of my eye I see my phone lighting up, finally! I thought as I flipped my phone open and scrolled to my inbox, opening the new text message.
‘It's Bradin u goofball. Who else wld it b. I thought u had my number in ur phone?’
Shocked with multiple emotions coursing through me at once I fell off my bed, I kind of wish it was Cayden and not Bray, I sighed as I quickly typed my reply, ‘I guess I didn't have it in my phone Bray. So u miss me already?’
Smirking at my phone I picked myself up off the floor and head out my door to go and rummage for something to eat in the kitchen.
"Hey sweetheart, how was school?" My mother was standing in the kitchen cutting up vegetables for dinner. Her brown curls were pulled up in a messy pony tail and her green eyes were hidden beneath black frames. You could tell where I get most of my looks from; I was a younger version of her to a T.
Plopping down on the bar stool I muttered, "When is school nothing but boring Mom?" As my phone went off again.
‘Of course I miss u already. U r the craziest person I know Gabs, u entertain me, and I'm bored right now. What r u up to tonight?’
Smiling I tapped in my reply, ‘absolutely nothing, u?’
"Who are you texting like crazy over there?" My Mom raised her eyebrows as she walked over and sat down with a bowl of grapes for us to share.
"Bradin Fields from school, you've met him before when he came over one time. He was the guy with the beautiful blue eyes!" I pretended to swoon and then grabbed a handful of grapes.
Mom sat quiet for a minute looking thoughtful, "Oh yes I remember him. He seemed nice."
Flipping open my phone again I read his reply, ‘Same, let's go see a movie. I'll pick u up around 5 then so about an hour?’
‘Sounds good to me, see u then!’ I typed in then shut my phone.
"Yes he can be nice but mainly he's a perverted jerk most of the time, apparently he and I are going to the movies in an hour." I looked at the time on the stove; it was already five past four. Darn I better hurry up I thought as I jumped off the stool to go and get a shower before he came.
"Ok have fun!" Mom shooed me off as she walked off to finish cutting up the veggies. ‘Just don’t be home to late. Curfew is midnight young lady.
After nodding I turned to run back to my room and jump in the shower.
Fifteen minutes later I got out and began looking through my closet I finally decided on a pair of light washed distressed skinny jeans and a white tank top. Throwing the clothes on I waltz back into the bathroom and started blow drying my hair after I plugged in my straightener. Once it warmed up I straightened my hair and ran a brush through it. Threw some light make up on and walked back to my closet to grab my white ballet flats.
I looked over at my alarm clock and saw it was two minutes till five. In a rush I grabbed my phone and purse and ran down the hall shouting, "Bye," to my mother as I passed the kitchen. I got to the front door and threw it open, and was met face to face with Bradin who was standing there about to knock.
