Extra #2
Cayden’s Pov during Riley’s party before Graduation:
As I approached the house where Gabriella was supposedly partying at, I became a little nervous thinking about what I should say to her. What if she asks how I found her? I can’t really say that I’ve been stalking her. That would look really bad.
This is probably the craziest idea I’ve had but I can’t help myself. I have to know what she is up to. She should have been calling me like crazy, trying to talk to me. After all I am Cayden McDaniel. Who wouldn’t want to talk to me?
Walking into the house I pulled my baseball hat down over my eyes, hoping no one would recognize me, at least until I find my angel. I miss that girl so much but I just couldn’t bring myself to talk to her again. I was too caught up in my career and my music that I kind of just forgot about her for a bit.
But she always seems to come back and haunt me in my dreams. I know I’ve changed. Who wouldn’t after two years? I love being famous, I love being rich and having everything I want at my fingertips. But the one thing I want most isn’t within reach. I want Gabby, I need her. If she wants me in her life still, she should be able to look past the new me and see that there is still a small part of the old Cayden in me.
“I need to find her,” I whispered to myself as I walked down the hallway. Stopping short I see Gabby and her friend, Karly, Kelly…something, hell it doesn’t matter. They were dancing. Some preppy looking dude came over and said something to her friend to make her leave.
I stood there watching them from the corner, to see what he would do next. No one paid any attention to me at all; they just went about their business. I watched as my angel and that dude danced for a bit and then out of nowhere he leans down and kisses her.
What. The. Hell. Is he serious? He better get his hands off my girl before I go over there and slam my fist into his pretty boy face. I can’t do that, Gabriella would hate me. She doesn’t tolerate violence.
I pulled out my cell and dialed Taylor’s number. He picked up on the first ring, “What up?”
“Is everything set for tomorrow?” I angrily snapped.
“Of course dude, chill. Mr. Rope picked up the bus and we are loading all our gear as we speak. We will be ready to roll at 9 am as planned.”
Sighing I replied, “This girl better be damn happy we are doing all this. If this doesn’t show her how much I care then I don’t know what else would.”
“Well Cayden this idea of yours isn’t the best way, it’s actually kinda typical. It’s not unique. But you’re so adamant about it that we just agreed to go along with it.”
“What do you mean it’s typical? It is unique and it will work!” I growled into the phone.
“Whatever you say dude. See ya soon.”
As he hung up I took one last glance at Gabriella and that dude, shook my head and began to make my way out of there. As I climbed into the car I thought about my plan. It’s going to work. Taylor has no idea what he is saying. What I am planning to do would make any girl leave the guy they are with to be with me.
“She won’t be macking on him for much longer after tomorrow,” I cackled as I drove off towards home.
Tomorrow can’t come soon enough.
