Extra #1:
Cayden's Pov Before the first phone call:
"Alright boys go take a fifteen min break and then come right back so we can perfect the moves before your concert tonight," Mr. Rope walked off to take a phone call.
I guess it's time to call Gabby. I think I'll talk a walk outside so the guys don't make fun of me anymore than what they do, I thought as I headed out the back door from the stage. Pulling my phone out my back pocket I punch in the still all too familiar number.
It rang three times then went directly to voicemail, Nice. I guess she rejected the call since it didn't ring all the way through, I thought as I listened to her voicemail.
"Hey! Its Gabby, leave a message and I'll get back to you soon!" BEEP
"Hey Gabriella, It's, Cayden." I started nervously, "I just want to say how sorry I am for everything. I miss you so much. I was a fool not to try and talk to you before now. I can't stop thinking about you lately and all the times we shared. I don't really know what else to say in this message other than I am deeply sorry. I know saying sorry over and over isn't going to cut it but I can't help but think it might help. I want my best friend, my other half back. I can't stand going another minute without you. Yes it's been two years I know, but please, please just call me back and we can talk. I have so much to explain." I mumbled as I ended the call.
Wow that was hard. I honestly have no idea what I'm going to say to her if she calls back. I had all this planned out and it most definitely flew out the window the moment I heard her sweet voice telling me to leave a message. I shook my head as I walked back inside to start practicing again.
"Where did you go dude?" Taylor asked right as I joined them on the stage.
"To call Gabriella, what else would I be doing outside, stupid?"
"Oh you took my advice and finally called her? Way to go man! How did it go? You guys bestest friends again? Codi laughed.
Rolling my eyes I replied, "Ok one, Bestest is not a word and besides you really think considering everything I have told you about her and I and what happened at the end we would become close like that again after just one phone call? Two, She didn't answer. I left a voicemail…" I trailed off looking down at my phone before turning it on silent and shoving it back into my pocket.
"Sorry, guess I got a little over excited for a minute there. I know it's going to take more than a simple phone call. We just wish the best for you, we hate seeing you so down all the time and dude, it's even starting to affect our music Mr. I write sappy depressed emo songs." He smirked, "Maybe she will call you back?"
"Just shut up Codi and let's just practice" I growled just as Mr. Rope came back and told us to start from the beginning.
After rehearsal I waved bye to the rest of the band trying to avoid them confronting me and walked out to my car. Getting in I pulled my phone out and turned the sound back on noticing I had a missed call…from Gabriella.
Rushing home I jumped out of my car and ran up to my room, pulling out my phone, I began to tap in her number.
Well here goes nothing, I thought as my heart skipped a beat when I heard the sweet voice I missed so much say, "Hello?"
"Long time no talk Gabs." I sighed bracing myself for the worst.
