23 Jungkook (BTS) part 1

(Bittersweet)

"I love you." You breath and you watch as a genuine smile tug his lips upwards in the slightest way. You smile back.

He step closer, lowering his head to match your height. This time you didn't push him away like the many other occasions he'd try to pull this move on you. He stopped millimetres away from your lips, almost as if making sure you didn't mind him kissing you right now.

Seeing you didn't retreat from him, he leaned in. You smiled against the gentle lips that found yours.

You were startled when Jungkook pulled away abruptly. His face was painted with confusion and anger. All too suddenly the emotions was washed away with a deadpan expression.

His unreadable eyes bored into yours and your smile quickly disappeared. Jungkook stepped away, shoving his hands into his pocket and he shifted his gaze on anything but you.

"W-what's wrong-?" You reached out to him, trying to hold onto his arm but he easily and coldly shift away.

You felt an instant pang of pain and rejection.

Jungkook chuckled shortly, humourless. His eyes finally staring back at you, but this time it was full of coldness.

"This was all just a bet to get you to fall for me." He said in the most disinterested voice.

He spent all those weeks pestering you, tugging at your heart and building up your trust all to just shatter your heart with one push and a few simple words. It was unbelievable how he was acting right now.

You let out an angry breath not bothering to restrain the threatening tears. You were more angry at yourself than you were at Jungkook. It was Jungkook after all. It isn't all that unbelievable, he was always obnoxious to begin with. It was more unbelievable that he suddenly attached himself to you, and you should of seen this coming.

Of course he was just playing with you, it wouldn't take Sherlock to of figure that out.

You felt like an idiot, just standing there mutely, staring at him with your tears streaming down your face.

Jungkook's face was contoured into a mixture of pain and annoyance, but he just gave you one last look before turning around and walking away from you.

He didn't turn back once and you didn't go after him. After he was out of sight you just stood there, staring at the empty spot where he took your first kiss.
