2016:

"I... I'm getting adopted?" I stuttered shyly at the care worker. She nodded and smiled.
"Yes, you are," she went on to say, "you're going to be with a loving family again. Although your new parents are... Different from others."

What did she mean by that? What was I getting into? What were the orphanage doing to me? My eyes widened at her comment and fear struck me immediately. My breath slowly became heavier and I could feel my legs shaking slightly.
"W-What do y-y-you mean by 'different'?" I hesitantly asked, trying to control my breathing. The care worker placed her hand on my shoulder. She looked at me and smiled.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine." She said.

I didn't know I should've trusted her...

"Well Dil, this is your new home!" A tall man with black hair whose fringe was swept over to just above his right eye and bright blue eyes announced. I peered through the door, taking a quick look around. I took a step back. I didn't know if I could so this. The man bent down beside me. I hesitantly turned my head and looked at him. His small smile gave me some comfort.
"You don't have to enter this very second, take as long as you need." He said calmly. He lightly patted my back and entered, leaving me standing in the doorway. I sighed heavily and walked in, surveying my 'new home'. It was clean and modern, and it had a calm atmosphere.

Two dads. A fresh start. This is going to be the hardest thing I've ever done, but I can get used to this.
