"Oh, hi Tabitha." Phil said, sounding slightly shocked. I can see why, someone who only moved to our town a couple of days ago was suddenly in our house without some sort of knowledge of them coming here. Phil sat on the sofa and smiled, the phandom say his smile is like 'a ray of sunshine'... Suit yourself phandom.
"Hi Phil" Tabitha shyly replied as she took off her converse.
"Yeah, I didn't say anything about Tabitha coming round but it's okay...?" I was a little hesitant but they were usually okay with this sort of stuff. Phil chuckled and nodded.
"You're fine." I smirked and gestured to Tabitha about going upstairs, and she followed.

My bedroom door creeked open and we entered. I shut the door behind me and Tabitha awkwardly stood in the middle of my room and had a quick look around. I jumped onto my bed and patted a little space beside me and looked at Tabitha. She smiled slightly and sat down next to me, still looking a little awkward.

"What happened at Starbucks was just... Bloody horrible." She softly murmured. 'Bloody horrible', how British. I nodded.
"Why is she picking on you anyway? You don't seem like the kind of person who'd make someone hate them that much." She went on to say. I stared down at the carpet.
"Everyone has the ability to make someone absolutely despise them." I muttered. Out of the corner of my eye I saw her turn and look at me.
"I-if you don't mind me asking," she hesitantly asked, "what happened between you two?" There was a moment of silence before I broke it. At least she didn't ask about my real parents. I shuffled about a bit to get comfy because story telling (I don't know... I'm sorry.)

"Well, there were a few small events and each one made the tension and hate even bigger." I started. "In year 7 we were 'science buddies' and we got assigned to do a project. We worked together, and by that I mean I did most of the work and Erica probably chose the background image for the PowerPoint and the style and colour of the font. When we delivered the presentation, Erica made out she did all the work and not me. I got annoyed about it cause it was the only thing I made in a while I was proud of. I confronted her about it after school then we got into an argument. We didn't talk for a few days and then made up, but the tension was still there."
Tabitha kept nodding once every so often, I don't know if that was a good sign or not. I continued.

"Then a couple of weeks later in drama we had to do a performance in front of the class. The group was me, Erica, a girl named Summer and my friend Preston. The teacher praised me but not Erica, so Erica got pissed at me for it." I rolled my eyes. Tabitha's facial expression was quite funny. It was a mixture of 'what a bitch' and 'are you serious?'.
"What the hell?!" Tabitha half-shouted. I chuckled and so did she as she covered her mouth with her hand.
"That was slightly loud." Tabitha muttered. "Anyway, continue."
"It kept happening in drama, I'd get more praise than her and higher grades. It's just jealousy. Then toward the end of year 7 we had a huge argument over god knows what and then she started hanging out with the wrong kind of people, aka the popular and snobby people. She thought she was - well still does - think she's wonderful and craves attention. That's mainly why she picks on people, especially me. Also when she became popular and stuck up, she found out about my past pre-adoption and she uses that to get me down."

I had to stop myself there. I couldn't continue. I'd said enough for now, I mean, Tabitha and I had only been friends for two days, I can't tell her all of my secrets and personal life. Also, I was getting memories flooding into my mind, and not good ones. I tried to think of some good things to stop my mind from wondering off elsewhere. I looked up from my carpet to Tabitha, who was already looking at me. We locked eyes for a few moments. Her eyes were aqua with a hint of emerald, and glistened when the sun shone on them. They were amazing...

Tabitha broke the eye contact. "Wow. I hate her guts and I've only seen her for about five minutes." I fake laughed and smirked slightly, staring down at my carpet once again.

We got off of that conversation quickly and carried on talking about bands and funny memories from our pasts. At least we were talking about good memories and not bad ones.

As we were talking, my door swung open and there stood Dan. I turned and shot a stare at him, while Tabitha jumped a bit and low-key shit herself.
"Sorry to disturb, but Tabitha your mum's at the door and wants you to go home." He calmly said. She nodded and got up.
"Okay, thanks Dan." She put on her hoodie and we walked downstairs where we met her mum standing just before the front doorframe. Tabitha put on her shoes and said goodbye and swiftly left. To be honest her mum didn't look overly impressed. When the door shut, I was about to retreat back to my room when Dan cleared his throat loudly, getting my attention. I turned round and saw Dan sitting on the sofa, smirking at me. I knew exactly what he was trying to get across.
"No." I simply said and smirked before going upstairs. I heard Dan whispering to Phil but it was incoherent. I carried on going to my room. I think you know what he was trying to hint.
